ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 12th FEBRUARY 2015
1.DONATIONS : * £25 from Kumudlal Mehta on celebrating his 75th birthday on 9th Feb. Kendra wishes him a very Happy Birthday and prays that he enjoys many more to come.
* Manjulaben Gulabchand Shah sponsored two special items at lunch – ‘Bundi Na Ladu’ and ‘Ganthia’ which she prepared at home. This was on the occasion of the 9th ‘Tithi’ of her daughter in law – Tinaben Bharatbhai Shah. Kendra’s many thanks to the family of Manjulaben
2. Today, after lunch we will have a special programme on the theme ‘Valentine Day’ and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will serve the sponsored tea and biscuits.
This was a great success as a large section of the members stayed till the end for the programme to enjoy the Valentine festivities. About 12 members, some in couples, took part in various items of singing and dancing. Kendra’s many thanks to all who took part in the programme and Jasuben Sheth for organising.
3. Next Thursday -19th Feb, we will have ‘Antakshri’ programme.
4. On Sunday - 8th March at 12.00 noon, we have booked a Gujarati play “CHORNA HAATHMA CHAVI” by Kiran Purohit at the Pattidar Federation Hall, London Road, Wembley. Tickets are for £10 for members and non-members. Pls book at the Main Desk with Punambhai Patwa.
5. Our AGM will be held in two phases on 12th & 19th March after lunch. On 12th all the reports and accounts will be presented. All names from the members standing for election will be finalised and on 19th the election will take place
6. We have organised a very colourful and enjoyable programme on 16th April to renew the marriage vows of couples. A special ‘panditji’ will come on that day. Members wishing to take part should give their names to Jasuben. So far 11 names of couples have been received and a few more names can be given.
7. Our 18 day trip to Japan & Korea from 11th to 28th May is almost full and any new names will be put on the waiting list. The cost for members is £3400 and for non-members £3450.
8. Everyone including all guests are requested to sign in the Register at the Entrance Table and Guests are requested to obtain their Passes from Vinod Parekh.
