ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 2nd APRIL 2015

1.DONATIONS :  Today’s lunch is sponsored by Induben & Shobhag Z Shah to celebrate the following occasions :
                                * Their 49th Wedding Anniversary and Shobhagbhai’s 75th Birthday.  Our warmest wishes and heartiest congratulations.  We also pray that they enjoy many more birthdays and anniversaries.
                                * Shobhagbhai’s brother – Dinesh Z Shah’s 71st Birthday.  Dinesh is also our member.  Our Best Wishes and pray that he enjoys many more birthdays to come.

2. ‘Chaas’ as well as Tea and Biscuits for the month of April is jointly sponsored by Sarojben & Pramodbhai Shah, Madhuben & Shashikant Shah, Sushila Jaichand Shah, Kokilaben Rajni, Niruben Aween & Kanchanben Amratlal.  Kendra’s many thanks to all of them.

3. Today’s Warm-Up Yoga was conducted by Dhirubhai Galani.  Kendra’s many thanks.

4.  Today, after lunch we will have a talk by Jain Vegan Group on the subject : ‘Whether Dairy Products are Good or Bad’. The talk was very interesting and a large section of members took part in the Questions and Answers session, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.  At Tea Time, Kendra served the sponsored tea and biscuits.

5. Our annual trip, similar to the one we used to go to ‘Potters Resort’ will this year be organised at Manor House & Ashbury Hotels in Devon, from Sun- 12th to Fri -17th July.  This will be a 5 night and 6days trip.  Price for members -£335 and for guests - £345(for two sharing).  Price includes transport.  There are all the usual facilities and we will book for 50 on ‘First come First Basis’, so reserve your places.

6. We have organised a very colourful and enjoyable programme on 16th April to renew the marriage vows of couples.  A special ‘panditji’ will come on that day. Members wishing to take part should give their names to Jasuben.  So far 11 names of couples have been received and a few more names can still be given.  There will be Chair Yoga on that day.  Brides are requested to wear green or red sari and grooms to wear Indian dress.  The bride should also bring £1.25 for the ceremony.

7.  The Newsletter for the month of April has been forwarded by email to members.  A few copies are available for those who have no access to internet.

8.  As announced, please note that due to Health and Safety reasons only the nominated kitchen volunteers are allowed to enter the Kitchen area, and others should refrain from going to the kitchen to wash hands, etc.

9.  We have several times announced that members should give their full names whenever they want anything to be done.  We have several members with the same names and surnames and we have problems when requests for changes are made, without full names.

10. Everyone, including guests, is requested to sign in the Register at the Entrance Table. Guests are requested to obtain their Pass from Vinod Parekh.
