ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 20th NOVEMBER 2014
1.DONATIONS : £25 from Rekhaben Vasa on the birth of her first grand son. Many thanks and Best Wishes from Kendra to her. Also heartiest congratulations to the parents.
2. As usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits. Please note that tea will be served to you, hence no one should get up and go to the serving table.
3. Kendra will hold a Christmas Bazaar on Thursday the 11th Dec. from 2 to 3.30pm.
• The bazaar is open to all – please bring your friends and family along to join in.
• Any items for sale should be in nearly new condition only and be priced reasonably.
• Unsold items will have to be taken back.
• We can only allow 3 people to have stalls for personal sale of expensive items --each person will be charged £15.
• In order to make an arrangement for stalls please give your names to Ellaben/ Pragnaben/ Jasuben,
• Tea and biscuits will be served to everyone.
• Monies raised will be put towards an entertaining well-being activity of NVK members.
4. Please renew your membership before 15th December. Already over 250 members have renewed their membership. Also those members who have already renewed should collect their receipts and get their Membership card renewed for 2015.
5. This year Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on Thursdays whereby we will miss two Thursdays. We are considering meeting on Tuesday 30th December. Please let us have your view if you are attending by putting your name on the list at the Front Desk. So far over 90 members have stated that they will attend.
6. We will be celebrating our 8th Anniversary and New Year 2015 on 8th January 2015 and tickets will be £1.00 for members and £15.00 for guests. The programme will start at 10.30am
The small charge is to monitor inflow of attendance and ordering lunch from the caterers.
7. We have announced before - please remember to close all the doors after you have either entered or exited.
8. Walk and Talk event has restarted promptly at 10.15am on Thursdays and participants are requested to be on time. Many members are taking part and we hope more will join.
9. We welcome donors for Chas and Tea for 2015 at £60.00 per month.
10. Due to adverse and unpredictable Winter weather, we have cancelled Tuesday morning film shows for Dec 2014 and Jan 2015 and we will update you once Feb event is decided
11. We request that members do not donate biscuits, as currently we have monthly donors and we do not have storage capacity as cupboards/cabinets are full.
12. As usual, at this time of the year many members have gone on holidays or are now due to go. We wish all of them enjoy and have happy holidays.
13. Harshadbhai Sanbhrajka had recently a ‘One to One’ chat with Keith Vaz from the Home Office. It was interesting to read his bio and his views. Keep up the good work.
14. Everyone is requested to sign in the Register at the main Table including all guests. Guests should ensure to obtain Guest Passes from the Front Desk.
15. Jasuben Sheth announced that after lunch we will have a ‘Family Fortune’ game in groups of 5. She informed that last week everyone spoke well but Sudhaben Kapashi was adjudged the winner and Joshnaben Bakhai and Jaysukh Mehta as joint Runners –up. Congratulations to them.
