1.DONATIONS : Chaas for the month of April has been sponsored by the Shah Group of Ladies from Kendra. Many thanks to them on behalf of Kendra.
2. After lunch today we will have a talk on Meditation by Dr, Vinodbhai Kapashi and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits. Vinodbhai gave a good insight into the different rituals and dharma of Hindu, Jain and Buddhist religions.
3. Next Thursday – 17th April, we will have ‘Whist Drive’.
4. On 19th April at 3.00 pm, we have booked a Kiran Purohit gujarati comedy natak – “Bachubhai Ne Batli Ma Utaro” at the Pattidar Federation – off Wembley High Street. Tkt price is £8 for members, their guests and friends. Only a few Tickets are now remaining. Please contact Vinod Parekh.
5. On 24th April we will have Dr Sunita Sharma to talk and discuss health problems of ladies mostly on breast cancer and other topics. This will be for ladies and Male members can participate or they can go in another room and play cards. However, please do not make noise in the hall and disturb the discussion.
6. We have arranged a trip to Leeds Castle in Kent on Tuesday 29th April. This historical castle has lot to see and would involve some walking. Entrance fee to the castle is £15.00 and so the total cost of the trip including coach and food will be £30.00. Only if we get 40 or more participants then we will do a coach, if not then we will arrange to go by car. Each car will be paid for the petrol cost and the total cost will be entrance fees plus petrol cost.

7. On 4th May 33 participants go to Manor House for 5 nights 6 days. We will be departing from Harrow Leisure Centre at 10.00 am sharp. If anyone else wishes to join, please contact Jayantbhai Doshi and if rooms are available, we will take them.
8. In June 22 participants go on a cruise of Iceland on Queen Victoria. If more wish to join, they will be taken only if cabins are available.
9. Kendra’s Website : www.nvk.org.uk is now fully in operation with all the weekly announcements, monthly newsletters, photos of recent programmes and events etc. having been uploaded.
10. Our deal with Cineworld is now in operation whereby our members can watch Bollywood movies on Mondays at 11.00am for £3. The first film was on Monday 7th April and the next show will be on 21st April. Those who attended this first show are requested to inform Jayantbhai Doshi their experience.
11. The AGM of N.V.A. of UK will be held on Sunday 27th April at 2.15pm at Hayes. Lunch will be served from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm. This is a very important meeting as there is an important change of the Incorporation of the Association for Governance of charities. As the quorum for the change will require 300 members, all Navnat members are requested to attend the meeting to enable the change to be passed for the betterment of the community.
12. Everyone is requested to sign in the Register and Guests are requested to obtain guest pass from Vinod Parekh.
13. Vinod Parekh informed members that :
* Only a few tickets for the Gujarati comedy show on 19th April are now left.
* Only 2 more places are available on the Manor Park trip.
*Leeds Castle trip – so far we have already received 16 names.
* Members are requested to start seating from the back tables for their lunch.
