NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 14th NOV ‘19
1). It is with great sadness that we have to inform that our member - Surbhiben Khona’s husband – Dhirajlal Jetshi Khona – age 77 - passed away on 9/11. Kendra’s heartfelt condolences to Surbhiben and her family and we pray to Lord Mahavir to rest the deceased’s soul rest in eternal peace.
Dhirajlal was a NVK member until last year and he was a very keen and regular member to do Yoga when he was well.

2). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai T Shah and Bhavnaben again conducted the main Yoga and made everyone to wash clothes, wring, dry and iron these. She also made everyone to do other Yoga poses to tone up all the 360 body joints whilst making them laugh. Kendra’s many thanks to both.

3). DONATIONS : * Todays’ ‘Farari’ lunch is sponsored by Shantilal and Vanitaben Shah to celebrate 75th birthday of Shantilal on 13/11. Kendra’s Best Wishes and we pray that he will enjoy many more birthdays to come. They also donated £75 on the occasion. Many thanks from Kendra.
* £20 from a non-member – Kantibhai Shah on the 1st ‘Tithi’ of his late wife – Hiraben Shah. We pray to Almighty to give her soul eternal peace.
* £51 from Bhartiben Malkan on the occasion of ‘Tulsi Vivah’ ceremony. Many thanks from Kendra.
* Jyotiben Shah donated a large bundle of biscuits for Tea Time. Many thanks from Kendra.
* Hansaben Khetshi Gosrani very kindly donated special Yoga rings to all members (one per family) for massaging hand fingers, which was recommended by Bhavnaben (Yoga Teacher). Many thanks from Kendra.
4). After lunch today, we will have a very interesting programme of “Tulsi Vivah” and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea and sponsored Biscuits.
(Many members stayed after lunch to see the wonderful ‘Tulsi Vivah’ ceremony performed by ‘Pandit’ – Vinodbhai Kapashi with five main helpers – Vijyashreeben, Ramaben, Sudhaben, Purnimaben and Bhartiben Malkan – who all had joined in singing ‘lagan geets’. Many ladies in colourful saris and dresses joined in the full ‘lagnavidhi’ by Vinodbhai. It was nice to see all the Hindu ‘laganvidhi’ performed by Vinodbhai and depicted with full ‘samagri’ and decorations. Everyone enjoyed the programme. Kendra's thanks to all volunteers.
5). Next Thurs – 21/11, we will have Bingo games.
6). Please renew your membership for 2020. Over 300 members have now renewed. The deadline is 15th Dec. Also collect your cards with the 2020 labels from Main Desk.
7). President –Vinod Parekh announced the correct name of donor of biscuits and also the donors of the special massage rings for hand fingers and Bhartiben Malkans’ donation (as above).
He was also very happy to inform members that we will be having another full day Musical Programme with sit-down lunch within a month, on Thurs – 28/11 at Sattavis Patidar Centre. The whole programme is sponsored by one of our member and the singers are from India. Programme starts at 11.00 am and ends at 3.30 pm. Since it is sponsored, members will have free entry and guest will be welcome at £15. Members should collect their tickets from Purnimaben Mehta on the Main Desk.
