Before the normal announcements, our Hon. Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi informed members that today’s lunch is sponsored by the family members of our Past President – Pranlalkaka, who passed away a year ago. He gave a brief talk on the wonderful social work done by Pranlalkaka since his arrival from Kenya.  He then requested members to stand and observe a minute’s silence in his memory.

He also informed members that Sarojben Mehta will try and make suitable arrangements with ‘Dial a Ride’ for all the disabled members who use this service so that they can be collected in time and also returned after the programme is over.  She has requested all such members to give their full details to her.  Kendra’s thanks to her for trying to make this arrangement.

Jayantbhai also informed that the special show at Cineworld, Wembley on Monday 21st was cancelled due to Holidays.  The next show will be on 28th April, with a choice of 4 movies. We will announce the movie chosen next week.


NORMAL ANNOUNCEMENTS :
Chandrikaben Shah, aged 75, who was our member passed away recently and we will observe a minute’s silence and pray for her soul to rest in eternal peace.  Kendra’s heartiest condolences to her family members.

1.DONATIONS:   
* £25 from Saroj Savadia on the occasion of the birthday of her husband – Mahesh Savadia.  Kendra’s Congratulations, Best Wishes and thanks to her on behalf of Kendra.                                                
* £11 received from Premlataben Parekh on completion of ‘Ayembil Ni Holi’ she had observed.  Kendra’ congratulations and thanks to her.
*£51 from Chimanbhai Shah, who was a guest today.  Many thanks to him from Kendra.
*£51 from Savitaben through Hasmukh Parekh in memory of her late husband  and our past President – Pranlalkaka. Tomorrow will be the first ‘Tithi’ of his passing away. Many thanks to them on behalf of Kendra.

2.   After lunch we have arranged Whist Drive and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.

3. On 19th April at 3.00 pm, members are going to see Kiran Purohit gujarati comedy natak – “Bachubhai Ne Batli Ma Utaro” at the Pattidar Federation – off Wembley High Street.  Tkt price is £8 for members, their guests and friends.  Only a few Tickets are now remaining. Please contact Vinod Parekh.

4.  On 24th April we will have Dr Sunita Sharma - a gynaecologist, to talk and discuss health problems of ladies.  This will be for ladies in the upstairs Damecha Hall and male members can use the next Hall upstairs to play cards.  However, please do not make noise in the hall and disturb the discussion.

5. We have arranged a trip to Leeds Castle in Kent on Tuesday 29th April. This historical castle has lot to see and would involve some walking. Entrance fee to the castle is £15.00 and so the total cost of the trip including coach and food will be £30.00.  Only if we get 40 or more participants then we will do a coach, if not then we will arrange to go by car. Each car will be paid for the petrol cost and the total cost will be entrance fees plus petrol cost.

6. On 4th May 33 participants go to Manor House for 5 nights 6 days. We will be departing from Harrow Leisure Centre at 9.00 am sharp.  If anyone else wishes to join, please contact Jayantbhai Doshi and if rooms are available, we will take them.

7. In June 22 participants go on a cruise of Iceland on Queen Victoria.  If more wish to join, they will be taken only if cabins are available.

8. The AGM of N.V.A. of UK will be held on Sunday 27th April at 2.15pm at Hayes and Navnat members are requested to attend the meeting to enable the changes to be passed for the betterment of the community.

9.   Everyone is requested to sign in the Register and Guests are requested to obtain guest pass from Vinod Parekh.
