NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON FRI –21st Feb 19
1). Today’s Yoga tutor was Kumudben and she conducted various Yoga poses to tone up all body joints and also did the “pranayams”. Everybody enjoyed her style. Before she started she had requested members that during Yoga everyone must maintain complete silence and that members should only do Yoga poses which they can perform and not to overstrain.
(Members did maintain complete silence !!).
Our Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi also thanked her.
2). DONATIONS: Rasilaben and Prabhudasbhai Shah will sponsor a variety of biscuits at Tea Time. Many thanks to them for bringing so many packets.
3). After lunch today Nimaben Kakad will speak on the subject : “ Aapna Bhula padi rahela bhulkao ane Navi Pedhi je multi culture ni che”, and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea/coffee and the sponsored biscuits.
Nimaben read out the article she had written to Gujarat Samachar on the subject. She stated that we should try and make our children understand what is wrong and right and if they make mistakes in their lives, then to try and explain to them when they err. She also sang some poetry. Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi also gave good examples and suggestions. Few members gave their views on the subject.
Some recited poetry and songs and Sudhaben Kapashi read a humorous poetry on the Mobile addiction of present day generation.
Nimaben also presented ‘Acko Macko Kareli’ – again songs and a garbo. Members enjoyed the programme.
4). Next Thurs –28/2 Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi will give a talk of the Statue of Unity in India – Sardar Vallabhbhai’s statue and also current affairs in India. We will have Yoga as usual by Rajesh Sheth.
5). A reminder to the MC members about the Managing Committee meeting on next Tues – 26/2 at 10.00 am here.
6). Nimaben Kakad gave details of the afternoon programme and also stated that after her talk she wanted everyone to join in “Masti Maja” by reciting songs etc. Adn then join in the “Achko Macko Kareli”
7). President – Vinodbhai Parekh announced : *Today is the last day for members to book their tickets for the Music programme of 7/3. *On that day members must produce their Membership ID and the ticket at the Entrance Table. * Dress Code will be – Gents : Smart Dress and Ladies : colourful saris. * Seating will be ‘Free Seating” and no one will be allowed to reserve more than 2 chairs – one for the member and the other for spouse/partner/guest. * Please maintain silence during the music show so that everyone can enjoy. * We need volunteers to help in return of Meera Caterers empty kitchen utensils to them after our programme. Please give us your names.
He also announced that about 10 complementary tickets for the show :”The Son” by Florian Zeller at the Kilburn Theatre at 7.30 pm tomorrow. Whoever is interested can collect from the main table.
