NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THUR –24/1/2019
1). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Jayeshbhai Shah and Manishaben conducted Yogic poses to tone up internal organs and for back and Hamstring muscles. Also Suryanamaskar. Many thanks to both from Kendra.
2). DONATIONS: At Tea Time we will serve homemade biscuits prepared by Manjuben Shah in celebration of 23rd Special Birthday of Apoorv Chauhan which is on 29/1. Kendra’s Best Wishes and Heartiest Congratulations to Apoorv.
3). After lunch today, we will have a programme on India’s Republic Day celebrations and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea/coffee and sponsored biscuits. (Today, for the first time ever we had “Rasmalai” sweet at lunch)
Jasuben Sheth introduced the programme by giving details pertaining to India’s independence in question and answer form. Then members spoke on the subject or sang songs. Many members had come dressed in India’s Tricolour flag
4). Next Thurs – 31/1 we will play Bingo.
5). As announced last week, we have arranged a full day musical programme on Thurs – 7th March 2019 with a highly recommended music group – ‘Anand & Shefali’ from India. Members will have to book their tickets for £1 and guests are welcome for £15. Tickets from the Main Desk at the entrance from Kishor Doshi.
6). Any member interested in green bowling, please contact our Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi.
7). We welcome the last batch of 4 new members today. We wish that all new members will now participate in Kendra’s activities, volunteer where possible and let us know of their special talent. Do not feel shy as this is an organisation for vadils.
8). President – Vinod Parekh announced regarding the invitation from the Lions Club party Sunday – 10/2 from 1.30 to 5.00 pm. He read out the names and informed that any member named cannot attend, then they should inform him. A special Table will be reserved for them. He also said that the Table number for the extra 4 invitation from the Vanik Council will be given later.
He also informed members that our time of gathering on Thursdays is from 10.30am to 4.00 pm. It has been noticed that members come earlier than that and then complain about the Hall not being heated. He said that everyone must appreciate that it takes an hour for the Hall to be heated.
9). Jasuben Sheth announced the names of those taking part in the afternoon programme and requested for more names.
