ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE ON THURSDAY 24TH JULY 2014

1.DONATIONS :  This afternoon we will serve Ice Cream instead of tea, which has been sponsored by Manjuben Pindoria on the occasion of the 3rd Wedding Anniversary of their son – Hitesh and daughter –in-law – Reena.  On behalf of Kendra we thank her and send our best wishes to the couple and also pray that they enjoy many more Anniversaries to come.

2. After lunch today we will have Bingo games and at Tea Time, we will serve Ice Cream.
The winners in the two games of Bingo were : Indira Virendra Doshi, Bhanuben Gudka, Prafulla Kothari and Jayantbhai Doshi.  Jayantbhai who had won the prize for the full house, donated the prize back to Kendra.  Many thanks to him from Kendra for his wonderful gesture.
All prizes were donated by Rasilaben and Prabhudasbhai Shah.  Kendra’s many thanks to them.

3. On Tuesday,12th August we are going to arrange a grand summer picnic – a day outing at Willen Lake, Milton Keyes.  We have booked two coaches and cost per member will be £15.  You can bring your grandchildren – upto 12 years cost £10.  Names are to be given to Ellaben Shah or Jayesh Shah.  Kendra will provide all food but you will have to bring your own water.

4. We have arranged a 12 day trip to Turkey from 11th September. The trip is now full as we have already received 42 names. However one lady and one gentleman is looking for a partner to share and if anyone is interested, please inform Jayantbhai Doshi. All who have given their names should ensure that the remaining balance and copies of their passports are handed over to Chimanbhai Sheth.

5. We hope everyone enjoyed our last Thursday’s full day musical programme and we must thank all the volunteers and organisers who worked hard to make this a success.  325 people attended on this day. The chocolates at the entrance on the Mehafil day were sponsored by Ashaben and Jeetendra Mehta. Many thanks to them on behalf of Kendra.

6. Navnat Vanik Association is holding their usual ‘Janmashtami Mela’ on Sunday – 9th August from 12 noon to 8pm at Hayes.   There will be food stalls, children’s rides etc, Dances, Bhajans, Yoga etc.  If you want hire a stall contact : Ramesh Shah.

7. Harrow Carers are campaigning to raise awareness of the needs of 25000 unpaid carers in the Borough.  Many people who have a caring role do not necessarily think of themselves as carers and therefore they may be unaware of the services and support available. There are several Carers who do amazing work in the community by giving loved ones and friends and families support and care.  Harrow carers would like to have your views etc.

9. Everyone is requested to sign in the Register at the main Table including all guests.  Guests should ensure to obtain Guest Pass from Vinod Parekh.

10. Jasuben Sheth announced that those members who are taking part in the play should take their lunch early and meet after lunch.  She also announced that the Cooking Demonstration had to be postponed owing to the death of a family member of the demonstrator.

11. Pragnaben Mandalia announced that the Walking Group will meet after lunch for details and instructions
