NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS –25th APRIL ‘19
1). It is with great sadness that we have to inform the passing away on 19/4 of Dipak Shah–Age 61, who was the younger brother of our member – Dineshbhai Tarachand Shah.
Also our Past Member – Mansukhlal Bhagwanji Shah – Age 86 passed away on 20/4. He was a member since NVK started in 2007 until 2014. Mansukhbhai had supported and encouraged our Secretary – Jayantbhai, a lot when NVK started.
Kendra’s heartfelt condolences to both families and we pray to Lord Mahavir to rest their souls in eternal peace. OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI
2). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Jayeshbhai Shah. Health benefits of Yoga – Doctors suggesting to do Yoga for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). A lady suffering from IBS since last 10 years was cured when she did specific Yoga poses. Manishaben has been conducting all those poses every Thursday.

3). After lunch today we are going to have the first part of our AGM when reports will be presented and thereafter nominations will be invited for 15 Committee members to be elected. If more names are nominated then there will be election next Thursday. As usual, Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits at tea time.
(Reports were given by President, Secretary, Treasurer and accounts passed. Under AOB, members asked questions and answers were given by the Secretary/Treasurer.)
4). Next Thurs – 2/5, we will have second part of our AGM including AOB.
(18 names have been nominated and there will be election to choose 15 committee members from these)
5). On 9th May we will have a full day musical programme with Special Lunch again, both of which have been sponsored. Members will have to obtain £1 ticket from the Main Desk at the entrance so that we can plan for catering. There will be no Yoga.
6) Century Bowling and Sports Club in Wembley is holding a free Bowling Open Day on Sat – 11th May from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. There will be free coaching. It is a very interesting game with numerous health benefits. If you are interested, please contact Jayantbhai Doshi.
7). President –Vinod Parekh announced that previously we used to received many sponsors for “Chaas”. This year we have received few sponsors and NVK continues to provide this. If anyone wishes to give their names for “Chaas”, please contact Main Desk. He also confirmed that we are unable to take guests for this programme. If any member has not booked their ticket, they should do this immediately, so we can then see if guests can be allowed.
