ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE ON THURSDAY 28th AUGUST 2014
1. After lunch today, we are having a lecture by Dr Balwant Jani and as usual at Tea-time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
2. Next Thursday, 3rd Sept we will have a programme games.
3. Our 12 day trip to Turkey from 11th September has now 3 seats available and if anyone is interested, please inform Jayantbhai Doshi or Chimanbhai Sheth. Also if anyone has problem in getting online Visa for Turkey, please inform Chimanbhai.
4. The first film show at the Cineworld in Staples Corner is ‘Kick’ starring Salman Khan, next Tuesday, 9th September at 10.30 am. We have booked the whole screen (100 seats) and also arranged for lunch with Ram Restaurant on Kenton Road. Charge for film only for members is £1 and for non-members £3 and charge for film and lunch for members is £5 and £8 for guests. Only 3 more tickets are remaining now. Thereafter the films will be : EK VILLAIN on 16/9, ENTERTAINMENT on 23/9 and HUMSHAKALS on 30/9 and the tickets will be available from the Box Office at £3
5. Please note in your diary that we will not be meeting on Thursday -4th September as all the Halls have been booked. Instead we will meet on Wednesday -3rd Sept.
6. On Thursday, 25th Sept, we have organised a whole day programme of ‘Blood Pressure and Health Awareness Day’. The event has been organised jointly in collaboration with HPGEM and British Heart Foundation. Yoga will only be from 10.45 am to 11.15 am
7. We hope everyone is enjoying the various religious programmes during the Shravaan month and ‘tapsavi’s sata ma hase’ to all who are observing any form of fasting.
8. Our member Dr Harshadray Sanghrajka has been invited by the Jain Shvetamber Derawasi Sangh, Mombasa for a svadhyay trip from 31st Aug to 2nd Sept. Our best wishes.
9. A reminder to the Committee Members – our EC Meeting is on Monday- 8th Sept at 10.00 am at Sattavis Patidar Centre.
10. Everyone is requested to sign in the Register at the main Table including all guests. Guests should ensure to obtain Guest Pass from Vinod Parekh.
11. Vinod Parekh announced that Dr Pragnaben Mandalia has informed members who are joining in the Walk and Talk programme that next week the walk will be on Wednesday at 9.45am and NOT on Thursday.
Also he informed those coming for the film show that they must bring and show the ticket given to them at the door and also at the Ram Restaurant.
