NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS –30/8

1).  Today, we had to do Chair Yoga as we had many ladies dressed for the “Janmashthami” programme.  Warm-up Yoga was done by Manjuben Malde and  Manishaben conducted Yogic poses toning up body muscles.     Thanks to both of them.

2).  DONATIONS: * £25 from an anonymous member.  Many thanks to the person.
                            * £51 from Kantibhai J. Shah for the success of their 3 grand children in recent exams.  Their grand-daughter graduated as a Solicitor, grand-son as a Mining Engineer and another grand-son passed his A levels with five A stars. Kendra’s heartiest congratulations to the family and Best Wishes.

3). Before lunch today, we will have a programme for “Janmashthami” and after lunch there will be a talk from Samani Pramukha Shreenidhiji and Samani Nirdeshika Shruthnidhiji and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits.

The programme started with lively songs of ‘Kannaya’ whilst the dancing ladies carried a basket with 'Kannaya' on their heads in turns, towards the decorated tables with numerous bowls of ‘prasad’- there were many varieties of sweets, dry and fresh fruits etc.  Thereafter all members joined in turns to perform ‘aarti’ of Lord Krishna. Manjuben Pindoria, Maltiben Shah, Jayshreeben Sheth, Chandrikaben Mehta and Bhartiben Malkan came early to decorate at the entrance and the tables with Prasad.  Many thanks to all of them.

After a ‘farari’ lunch with abundant ‘prasad’ to members, everyone sat down and Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi gave a brief introduction of the samanis, who then gave interesting and thoughtful talk on spiritualism.

4).  Next Thurs – 6/9, though it will be the start of ‘Paryushan’ festival, we will meet as usual and have Bingo games.

5).  On Tuesday, 74 members had joined for a day Picnic at Virginia Waters and had a very enjoyable time as the weather was good and also  saw remarkable monuments like Totem Pole, Water Cascade site (unfortunately because of the dry weather there was no water), Roman ruins, Saville Gardens etc.  Also saw the film set erected on the lake for the shooting of a film. Many members enjoyed the long walks.

6).  Mahavir Foundation is celebrating ‘Paryushan’ from 6th to 13th Sept at Kingsbury High School, except on Mahavir Janma Day and Samvatsari’ – which will be at the Kadwa Patidar Hall.  There will be facilities for Sthankvasi and Deravasi. Pujya Ashwin Guruji is coming for all ‘aradhna’ and lectures.

7).  There will be ‘Janmasthmi bhajans’ on Sun- 2nd Sept at the Navnat Centre from 4.00 to 6.00 pm followed by ‘farari prasad’.

8).  Jasuben Sheth gave details of the ‘Janmashthmi’ programme and thanked all the above named ladies for their hard work in decorating and all those who brought ‘prasad’ from home.
