NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA - ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 30th NOV 2017
Our Secretary, Jayantbhai Doshi announced that we are extremely happy to start the first sewa/welfare from today. This was our main objective when we started NVK over ten years ago. Our objective was to bring some joy in the lives of elderly people in our society and that is what our volunteers will do from today when they start the care home visits by singing songs, playing games etc with the elderly people. Our thanks to all the volunteers.
1). Today, Manishaben conducted Yogic poses for the upper body, stomach muscles and internal organs Many thanks to her from Kendra.
2). After lunch today, we will have members presenting some good, interesting articles or reciting their personal memorable experiences and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits.
3). Next Thurs – 7th Dec, we will have a programme on “Padmavati” story.
4). So far over 325 members have renewed their membership and we request members to speak to other members they know who do not come often, to renew their membership. Remember the deadline is 14th Dec.
5). Today we will be doing “Sewa/Welfare” at Woodcock Court. Next thurs – 7th Dec, our volunteers will be visiting Meera Nursing Home from 2.00 to 4.00 pm and will leave from here after lunch at 1.30 pm Our volunteers are :- Hansaben Mandalia, Indubhai Bakhai, Neemaben Kakad, Surubhai Kakad, Hasmukh Parekh, Kundanben Malde, Sudhaben Kapashi and Pragnaben Mandalia.
6). Our members who had gone on a cruise tour of Panama have returned and they had a good time.
7). There is another free exhibition on “Ayurvedic Man – Encounters with Indian Medicine from 16/11/17 to 8/4/18 at Wellcome Collection at 183, Euston Road, Bloomsbury, London, NW1 2BE. (NOTE: The exhibition at Croydon Museum is not so interesting)
8). Jasuben Sheth gave details of the programme after lunch and also stated that she had received some names for our future programmes : “Jivan sandhya mate ekalvayu dur karva sathi ni jarur che ke nahi?” and “Kaun Banega NVK Master”. She requested more names from members who wanted to take part. Deadline for names is 14th Dec.
