NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS –4th APRIL ‘19
1).  We regret to announce the passing away of the dear mother of our Hon. Patron – Manick Choraria.  Sayerdevi passed away on 27/3 at the age of 85. NVK started in Sayer Centre, which was offered to us by the Choraria family.  NVK sends our heartfelt condolences to the Choraria family and prays that the deceased’s soul rest in eternal peace.    OM SHANTI      SHANTI    SHANTI 
Also we regret to announce the ‘Arihantsaran’ of the beloved mother of our member – Krishnaben  Mehta and mother-in–law to Kiritbhai Mehta – Vijyagauri Parekh – Age 84 on 2/4.  Our heartfelt condolences to the family  and we pray that the deceased’s soul rest in eternal peace.     OM SHANTI    SHANTI    SHANTI

2). Manishaben conducted Yogic poses to tone up all the body joints and also did the “Pranayams”.  Thanks to her from Kendra.

3). DONATIONS: “Chaas” for the month of April has been sponsored  by Seju/ Preeti Shah, who is the son of late Shardaben Shantilal Shah. Many thanks from Kendra.

4). After lunch today we have a programme on Mother’s Day and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits.
(Members sang songs or recited poems in praise of mothers.  Some spoke on the love and sacrifices of mothers to their children.  Many members had remained for the programme and all thoroughly enjoyed the same.)

5).  Next Thurs – 11/4 we will have a programme on “Advertisements” – how to write a humorous  Advert.

6).  Last Thurs – 28/3  118 members came for our weekly gathering for Yoga  and lunch.  There was no programme as 140 members had gone on a trip to Torquay. 

7). All the 156 members and guests who had joined in the trip to Torquay had a wonderful time last week.  The weather on all five days was sunny. Both Hotel accommodations were good with healthy English veg food which was enjoyed by all.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the famous Devon scone and cream, sightseeing and the entertainments at hotels and we have received several messages of an excellent trip at such a low price.  We thank all those who have sent messages and assure them that we will try and organise more of such trips.

8).  Please collect your NVK ID cards from the Front Desk.  We will start checking this from next week.

9). There is a Ballet Show on 13/14 April at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan with Dinner at 5.30 pm and show at 7.00 pm.  Tkts for £10 & £15 and more details from Purnimaben Meshwani.  The Ballet has 12 artists with dance duo of Nirupama & Rajendra of Abhinava Dance Co Of Banglore.

10).  President – Vinod Parekh announced that the new ID cards of NVK are ready for collection and he would like to thank Shirishbhai Dodhia who had helped in preparing the cards.      * A jacket and a plastic box with biscuits etc was found left behind in the coaches   * Avantilal Jasani had brought Sthankvasi Panchang and kept at the main Desk.  * On 9th May we will have again a full day musical programme with Special Lunch, both of  which have been sponsored by one of our member.  Member will have to obtain £1 ticket so that we can plan for catering. *Photos of the Torquay trip has been uploaded on our website.

11).  Jasuben Sheth announced the names of those taking part in the afternoon programme.  She also requested to give names for next Thursday’s “Advertisement” programme.
