NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA - ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 4th JAN 2018
This is our first meeting of the New Year and we wish all members a very Happy New Year.
We welcome members who have attended today, but a few members have not been able to attend as they are hospitalised or are ill. We wish them speedy recovery.
1). Today, Dineshbhai Shah conducted the warm-up Yoga and Manishaben conducted Yogic exercises to tone up body joints and to keep healthy internal organs. Many thanks to both from Kendra.
2). DONATIONS : “Chaas” for the month of January has been sponsored by Manormaben & Chandulal Parekh and Pratimaben & Harshvadan Mandalia. Many thanks to all from Kendra.
3). After lunch today we will have an interesting Quiz from Jasuben Sheth.
(The Quiz game was played in Groups of 4)
4). Next Thurs – 11th Jan we will have Bingo with special prizes.
5). For the information of members, Passports can be renewed on line and it is very easy. If anyone needs guidance or assistance, please contact our Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi.
6). We are pleased to announce that our members : Harshadbhai and Urmilaben Sanghrajka’s son – Dr. Mehoolbhai has been awarded MBE in the 2018 New Years Honours list for services to the Jain Faith and education. He has played an important role in the Jain community for over 20 years. Our Heartiest congratulations and Best Wishes to the family.
7). Newsletter for January was emailed to members and a few hard copies are available for those who do not have access to emails. This has also been uploaded on our Website.
8). We have taken a 20 new members (who had given their names over 5 years ago) and some of whom are present here today (They were introduced to the Kendra members). We welcome them on behalf of Kendra and request them to take part in Kendra’s activities. Last year we had a membership of 401 and now we have 352 people on the waiting list.
9). One of our Volunteer had counted 8 members cars which were parked very badly during the last programme. We request that all members park cars in the marked bays properly so as not to waste the limited parking spaces and also not to block others.
10) Jasuben Sheth announced about the future programmes to be held in February. Also Dineshbhai Shah will be teaching a dance to those who are interested. (Please give your names).
