NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA - ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 5th OCT 2017
1). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Jasuben Sheth and Manjuben Malde. Manishaben conducted Yoga poses to tone up all body joints and muscles. Many thanks from Kendra to all of them.
2). DONATIONS : * “Chaas” for the month of October is sponsored by Manjulaben Patwa. Many thanks from Kendra.
* £50 from Adarsh Gujaral on the occasion of the Diwali festival with Best Wishes to all the members.
* £11 from Premlataben Parekh on successful completion of “Ayambil”. Thanks from Kendra.
3). After lunch we will celebrate ‘Sabarmati Ke Sant’ – Gandhi’s Jayanti and at Tea time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
Ninaben Kakad had decorated a table pertaining to the occasion and gave history of Gandhi Bapu in detail. Members sang songs of Gandiji.
4). Next Thurs – 12th we will have a play.
5). Our Diwali Dhammaka programme on Tues – 24th October with full day music programme at the VIP Lounge. Tickets are now on sale. Members £5 and guests £25. Anybody wishing to donate good Raffle prizes should contact the undersigned. Also prepare your list of 10 members with whom you wish to sit on a table. Table numbers will be drawn from 12/10 onwards. Last day to buy your tickets is 16/10. Also please give your name if you need Jain food. Dress Code is : Ladies –Saris: Gents – Smart
6). Please note that Thurs- 19th Oct falls on Diwali day and hence we will be meeting on Tues – 17th Oct.
7). As announced last week, Membership Renewal for 2018 is now due and the fees will be the same as last year - £90. All members are requested to complete the Renewal Form and submit at the Main Desk with your payment. If any of your details are changed, please mark the same on the Form.
8). Newsletter for the month of October has been circulated to members and uploaded on our website. A few hard copies are available for those who have no access to emails.
9). On 17th Oct we will be celebrating Diwali with Rangoli and Ankuut. If you want to do any Rangoli contact : Meenaben Shah and for Ankuut contact Maltiben Shah.
10). Century Bowling Club has an Open Day on Sun- 15th Oct from 2.00 pm. If anyone would like to try out the game they should go. For further details, contact Jayantbhai Doshi.
11). Vanik Council has organised a very interesting Seminar with lunch on Kidney problems and treatments, Dialysis & Transplants and discussion on Living Organ Donation in association with NHS Blood and Transplant on this Sunday – 8th Oct at 10.30 am at Navnat Hayes. All are invited. Give your names to Rameshbhai Shah.
12). Dada Bhagwan Foundation has organised a Diwali exhibition : “Sail the seven seas of positivity” on Sat/Sun – 7th and 8th 14th & 15th Oct from 11.00 am to 6.00pm at Dada Darshan, Unit 2, Stonefield Way, Ruislip, HA4 0JA. 13). Jasuben Sheth announced details of future programmes. If you are interested in taking part in the ‘Jokshako’ – telling jokes,shairies, kavita give, your names. Also if you want to join in the Care Homes and Nursing Homes visits, give your names.
