1.
* ‘Chaas’ for the month of  March is sponsored by Ansuyaben Bavisha and Kokilaben Sanghrajka.  Many thanks to them on behalf of Kendra.

* £51 from Dr. Manubhai Shah on the occasion of 77th Birthday of Manjulaben Shah.  Our heartiest congratulations to her and we pray that she enjoys many more birthdays to come.  Many thanks from Kendra.

* 50 pairs of ‘Dandia’ for use during Navratri festival donated to Kendra by Rasilaben and Prabhudasbhai Shah.  Many thanks to both of them on behalf of Kendra. 

2. After lunch today we have a music programme by Dharam Varma and Indiraji and as usual, at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits. The duo sang wonderful songs.  

3. On 15th March there is a Bhajan programme by Nitu Shah at the Harrow Leisure Centre – Byron Hall, from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm.  We now have only 10 more tickets left.  Only £2 to be paid for charity. Programme includes a light meal.  Please contact our President -Baburai Shah.

4. On 13th March we will have a talk on wills by Sunil Shah.

5. On 20th March we will celebrate ‘Mothers Day’.  Jasuben Sheth announced that 16 names have been received from members (members can speak on mothers, grand – mothers, etc), and names for Chairperson to compere the programme also received. Members will be given a maximum of 3 minutes to speak.

6.  Our Annual General Meeting will be held on 27th March with a special Menu for lunch.  This meeting will only be for submission of reports and there is no election (as per our Constitution).

7. On 19th April, we have booked a Kiran Purohit gujarati comedy natak – “Bachubhai Ne Balti Ma Utaro”

8. On 4th May we have arranged a trip to Manor House for 5 nights 6 days. 

9. In June we have planned an Iceland Cruise on Queen Victoria.  

10. Kendra’s Newsletter for March is put on our Website.  A few hard copies are available for those who have no access to emails.

11. Today is “World Book Day”, which is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and most importantly, it is a celebration of reading.  The main aim is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to have a book of their own. Hence, as grand-parents it is our duty to ensure of grand -children take interest in reading and they have many books to read.

12. Interesting news of Yoga.  Two days ago ABP news showed a 6 year girl being ‘Yoga Guru’ – she was conducting Yoga classes in Aurangabad.  They said she could perform 89 ‘asannas’ at the age of 3 !!

13. Vinod Parekh announced that members arrange their Yoga mats properly so that everyone has chance to put their mats.  He also informed members not to keep their chairs on the grills near the rear heaters.
