We celebrated Sharad Purnima on 9th October. With a presence of over 260 members and guests present it was a great success with almost 2 hours of garba and one hour of dandia ras. It is first time NVK has celebrated Navratri or Sharad Purnima on this scale. Today’s brief announcements were :
1. Chocolates were donated by Rasilaben & Prabhudasbhai – as a welcome on this auspicious day.
2. We received £500.00 cheque for organising Blood Pressure & Health Awareness Day.
3. Our Next Film Show is on Tuesday 14th October showing Mardanni....all tickets are sold out and over 50 memebrs are taking part in lunch.
4. Only a few seats are now left of Leicester trip on Tuesday 21st October. We are visiting Derasar, Sanatan Mandir and Diwali lights with shopping.
5. On 23rd October (Diwali Day) there will be chair yoga and special lunch.
6. We received a donation of £51.00 from Sharda & Indravadan Sheth on the occasion of the wedding of their grand son Dr Roy Wheeler to Dr Penelop Lowe on 4th October. Our best wishes on a happy and healthy married life.
