1). The President announced : * Today we have got ample food considering the attendance so please enjoy the delicacies.
* For those Disabled members sitting at the two special Tables for lunch, we have noticed that members are reserving their chairs by keeping their personal belongings. This is not allowed and henceforth we will remove the articles kept on chairs. Please co-operate with us. There should be no reservation of chairs. When your turn comes up for lunch, you should come and then seat on available chair.
* We had announced at the AGM that for the post of Treasurer, we had requested Baburai T Shah to continue the work till end of this year and Jayeshbhai T Shah will take over from New Year. Please note there has been a change and B.T Shah has resigned and therefore Jayeshbhai will take over as Treasurer immediately.
* We had announced before that our MC member – Chimanbhai Sheth was collecting used spectacles and prescribed medicines which are no longer required. He was collecting these for charity work and had kept some boxes at the Front Desk. Please note that for the time being collection has been stopped as he is going on holiday and we will let you know in future.
2). Today's Warm-up Yoga was done by Ushaben Mehta and the main Yoga conducted by Manishaben, who did several Yogic poses to tone up all body muscles. Thanks to both from NVK.
We are pleased to inform that Manishaben Wala celebrated her birthday yesterday. So let us all join together to celebrate her birthday by singing the “Happy Birthday” song. Everyone joined in singing the song and also followed up by singing “Tum Jiyo Hajaro saal.....” and everyone gave standing ovation.
3). Just for information of Cricket enthusiasts – today England thrashed India in the Semi Final of the World Cup by 10 wickets and will now play against Pakistan in the finals on Sunday. Our Best Wishes to England.
4). DONATIONS : 'Chaas' for the months of November and December has been sponsored by Sejubhai and Pritiben Shah in memory of their mother – Shardaben Jayantilal Shah. NVK's many thanks for their kind gesture.
* £101 from Chimanbhai Sheth who celebrated his 80th Birthday on Tues – 8/11/2022.
* £30 from Kusumben Punater who celebrated her 70th Birthday on Mon – 7/11/22.
Many thanks from Kendra to both of them and we hope that they will enjoy many more birthdays to come.
Our Secretary – Purnimaben Mehta and Jasuben Sheth sang the “Happy Birthday” song to celebrate their birthdays.
*An anonymous Donor has given each family a cloth drawback string Back- Pack. Many thanks from Kendra.
* Bhupatbhai Gandhi donated Packets of Biscuits for Tea-Time. Many thanks from NVK.
5). After lunch today we will have Dr. Ajitbhai Shah who will talk about general well-being and how to take care of ourselves in winter. He will also answer any questions you may ask.
(Dr Ajitbhai Shah came at 2.30 pm and gave a very interesting talk on Covid and related issues. He also took members questions and answered with valuable points. Everyone enjoyed the talk. Before he came, Dr Vinodbhai Kapashi started the programme and gave valuable information on Jain religion.)
Today's lunch included delicious “Maru Bhajia”, 'Undhiyu', mistan etc.
At Tea Time, NVK will serve tea and the sponsored biscuits as usual.
6) We have already started to accept Renewal of Membership for 2023 at the Front Desk. Please do the renewal of your membership.
