NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS - 19 JAN 2023
1). President – Vinod Parekh announced * Today's weather is very cold and we had come to check yesterday here to see if we may have to close our Gathering today as a result of the ice all over. There was ice all over the Main Parking and the Management was trying to remove the ice by putting salt and hot water. We are happy that they did a fantastic job and removed all the ice. Fortunately no more ice was formed this morning.
*We had informed all members by email regarding the parking near the front entrance. However, we have seen a large turnout today. We must try and come outside wearing appropriate clothing as it is healthy.
* We have taken about 60 new members and some came last week as well as today. We request all new members to stand up so that our members can see them. We request them to join in all our activities and today's Chair Yoga. If any new member has any questions, our Secretary – Purnimaben Mehta and Ellaben Shah will help you.
* We sale any remaining food items and everyone, including all Executive Committee members, must pay the set charges.
2). Today's Warm-up Chair Yoga was done by Ushaben Mehta and the Main Yoga by Manishaben and today she had called Shantaben Pindoria on the Stage to assist her. Manishaben performed many Yogic poses in rhythmic fast pace, alternatively sitting and standing. Everyone enjoyed this. NVK's many thanks to all of them.

3). After lunch today, we will have Bingo and at Tea Time, Kendra will serve Tea, Coffee and Biscuits as usual. (Today's Bingo was conducted by Dr Mahendra Vora and many members remained to take part. Everyone enjoyed all the games.
(Today's lunch included : 'Garam Siro', Bhel, Khamman Dhokra, Biryani, Raitu etc.)
Next Thurs - 26th January we will have a programme of India's Republic Day celebrations. Purnimaben Mehta will give all details.
5). We are sorry for announcing wrongly last Thursday the name of the organisers of the Charity Musical Programme at Navnat Centre, Hayes on 12/02/23. This Fund Raising programme is organised by JVB Social Group.
6). Navnat Vanik Bhagini Samaj is organising a “Pyjama Party” & Popcorn on Saturday -4th March 23 at Navnat Hayes from 6.00 pm to 6.00am with Dinner, High Tea and Breakfast. Tickets are £30 for non-members. If you are interested please contact any Bhagini member.
7). Purnimaben Mehta announced that next Thursday we will celebrate India's Republic Day and we request Ladies to come in Orange outfit or Green Saris/outfit. Those who have Indian flags, please bring them with you. Those who are joining in the procession, please line up near the stairs in the Foyer at 2.00 pm on that day.
