1). Today's Warm-up Yoga was done by Dineshbhai T Shah and the main Yoga conducted by Manishaben, who did several Yogic poses for body joints. Thanks to both from NVK.
2). For the information of members Vinodbhai Udani, who was the Past President of Navnat Vanik Association of UK and a well-known and respected personality sadly passed away in Rajkot on 28/11/22. Every time he visited UK, he attended our gathering and made donation. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
3). DONATIONS : * “Chaas” for the month of January 23 is sponsored by Gauriben Ashwin Sheth in memory of her brother - Navinchandra Vaid, who passed away in Jan 2022, Many thanks from Kendra.
4). After lunch today we will have a grand programme of Lok-Geet, Duha, Chhand and we have invited the three Gadhvi singers – Hamirbhai, Dhirubhai and Jignesh from Brighton. They will sing Zaverchand Meghani's famous songs. Also the melodious music will be from 2.00 to 3.30 pm.
(Today's lunch menu included “garam chhutto Mohanthal”, Dahi Vada etc)
At Tea Time, NVK will serve tea and the sponsored biscuits as usual.
(The Group sang Lok-Geet, Chhand and Duha giving a background to how in the olden times, people made such rhythmic tunes in the period they lived in and passed their time. Also they sung tuneful songs of Zaverchand Meghani and closed the programme with the well known tune “Kasumbi No rang”. Members enjoyed the programme and it continued well past the time limit.
5). Next Thurs - 08/12/22 we will have Bingo games. For the information of new members, NVK offers tickets to everyone to play and there is no charge.
6). Renewal of Membership for 2023 at the Front Desk has been going on well and only a few members now remained to do so. If you have not yet renewed, please do the renewal of your membership. Very soon we will announce the last date to renew, after which we will assume those who have not renewed that they do not want to be members and hence we will take new members. Also those who have already submitted their Form and fees will be given their NVK ID card which will be ready.
