1). Today's Warm-up Yoga was done by Jayeshbhai Shah and the main Yoga by Manishaben, Thanks from NVK.
2). Today’s lunch was sponsored by our member Shardaben Modi, who celebrated her 80th birthday this week. A cake was cut with her family members and members sang the happy birthday song to Shardaben. A delicious lunch of “keri no raas” with puri, samosa, mutter batata nu shaak, rice & dal together with a piece of cake was served to every member. Kendra would like to thank Shardaben Modi.
3).DONATIONS : We thank our member - Shobhanaben & Late Dr Manubhai Haria’s Son for making hundreds of copies of Renewal of Membership Forms. He has been doing this for many years.
Thank you to Hansaben Mandalia for a donation of £51 on the occasion of Surendrabhai’s birthday, which is today.
Thank you to Kishorbhai and Geetaben Parmar for a donation of £20 for the occasion of celebrating Diwali.
Thank you to Jaysukhbhai and Bhadraben Mehta for a donation of £101 on the occasion of their grandson-Sayan Mehta-son of Raj and Shefali Mehta, getting a distinction in his Masters degree in Chemistry from Oxford University.
4). After lunch today, we have invited Kalpnaben Sanghrajka – a highly specialised Physiotherapist who is going to share her story of experiences with Cancer, Diabetes and High Blood Pressure and how her courage, determination and positive mindset has helped her pull through the unknown.
Everybody found Kalpanaben’s talk was very interesting, informative and inspiring. Kalpanaben spoke about her determination to face, manage and deal with breast cancer, diabetes and High blood pressure with a brave and positive approach. She shared her experiences with honesty and openness.
At Tea-Time, NVK served tea and biscuits as usual.
5). Our Diwali Dhamaka programme on 20/10/2022, here at Sattavis Patidar Centre will be a full day programme from 11.00 am to 3.30 pm with live music from Marina and Party music group. As usual it will be a seating arrangement with 10 per table. If you have already got 10 names in your group, please hand it to the Front Desk. We hope you have booked your ticket for £5 for members and Guests - £15. There will be Raffle prizes.
Members were reminded that sale of tickets will close today. Members were reminded to give in their table list of 10 names at the front desk for the purpose of allocating table numbers for Diwali Dhamaka.
Dress code: ladies -colourful, men-smart wear.
REMINDERS :
Members were asked to bring in their outdated spectacles rather than discard them. There will be a box at the front desk where members can drop their spectacles. These will be recycled for charity organisation.
An appeal to bring in empty medicine packets to recycle for the benefit of charity organisation, was made to members.
Members were reminded to attend Vanik Council UK’s event on Living Kidney Organ donation. Their attendance needs to be registered on Eventbrite. Alternatively, they can give their names to Pragnaben, Jayeshbhai and Purnimaben.
