1). The President – Vinod Parekh announced : * Our first Coach Tour – Mystery Tour - has been postponed due to unavailability of two coaches by Alfa Tours (as we had received many names) and due to high demand this season after several years of closures because of Covid. We are trying with other travel companies and will come up with some new offers. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
2). Today's Yoga was conducted by Nishaben Hirani assisted by Chandrikaben Patel. Yet again the Hall was full of members at the start to join in the Zumba sessions. Even the very elderly keenly joined in the workout. Nishaben started with full workout including Yogic poses with fast and rhythmic moves and though the weather was cold, everyone warmed up. Nishaben continued with the workout without wasting any time in between. She did the Macarena, 3 'Tali' Garbas etc. Soon many joined in the Chaitra maas Navratri Garbas. Everyone enjoyed the session immensely. Many Thanks to her and Chandrikaben from NVK.
3). DONATIONS : i) Today's Lunch has been sponsored by Jaysukhbhai Mehta to celebrate 80th Birthday of his wife – Bhadraben which is on 30th March. NVK's Best Wishes and Heartiest Congratulations to Bhadraben and we pray that she will enjoy many more birthdays to come. Everyone then joined in singing the birthday song - “Baaar baar yeh din aaye......” by Purnimaben Meswani and Bhartiben Malkan. Jaysukhbhai also made a donation of £101. 4). After lunch today, we will celebrate “Ram Navami” and “Mahavir Jayanti” and as usual at Tea Time, NVK will serve tea, coffee and the sponsored biscuits. More details from our Secretary – Purnimaben Mehta.

a) The Programme started with introduction of the celebration of Ram Navmi by Mahesh Savadia and then Naynaben J Shah gave a song on “Jai Raghundan”
b). Mahesh Savadia welcomed the trio of Shree Ram ( Bhupendrabhai Vasa, Sita mata (Naliniben Vasa) and Bharat (Rameshbhai Shah). All three came dressed in wonderful costumes and paraded round the Hall led by President – Vinod Parekh and then sat on the stage. After Ram Dhun – Raghupati raghav raja ram.... by Mahesh Savadia in which everyone joined, Naliniben Vasa asked questions to Bharat, Shree Ram and Sitamata, which were answered.
c). Shirishbhai Shah sang Jain Stavan.
d). Mahesh Savadia sang the mahamantra - 'Navkar Mantra' and everyone joined in the dhun.
e) 'Halardu' – Shree Ram janam – Chandrikaben Mehta and Ushaben C Sheth
f) Bhartiben Malkan sang - “Tu mane Bhagwan ek vardan aapi de....”
g) President Vinod Parekh gave a vote of thanks. He thanked Naliniben Mehta and Mahesh Savadia for yet another well organised and colourful programme and all participants.
5). Next Tues - 04/04/23 we will have Zumba workout by Debjani and the afternoon programme will be given by our Secretary.
6). Our Grand Spring whole day Musical Programme will have a record attendance on 13/04/23. Please note this will be in the Larger Hall in the Ground Floor with Table Layout similar to what we had at our Diwali Dhamaka Programme but this time the seating will be on “First Come First Basis”. We will keep water bottles on each table. Dress Code : Gents – Smart Dress and Ladies : Colourful Saris.
7). Hare Krishna Mandir – Bhakti Vedanta Manor – Watford has arranged a celebration of “Ram Navami” on this Sunday – 2/04/23. In this Programme there will be a Boat Yatra. You need to obtain a ticket to attend the programme. It is free and you can book online.
8). Secretary – Purnimaben Mehta announced : * This afternoon we will be celebrating “Ram Navami” and “Mahavir Jayanti”. We request all members to stay behind and encourage the participants in the Programme and also to maintain silence. All participants in the programme should eat early without rushing in the queue and be ready near the stage before 2.00 pm. *
