ANNOUNCEMENTS ON TUESDAY 23rd DECEMBER 2014

1. Please note that we cannot meet on Tuesday -30th Dec as decided, as we are unable to get the hall again on this day.  Hence this is the last gathering for this year and we will meet again on the 8th January, 2015.

2. Today Manishaben conducted Yoga from 10.30am to 11.30am and thereafter Indrakant Bakhai demonstrated on breathing exercises. Many thanks to him from Kendra.

3.  We wish everyone enjoy the festive season and also have happy holidays.

4. After lunch today we will have Whist Drive and at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits. Please note that tea will be served to you.

5. So far 380 members have renewed their membership and all who have renewed their membership are requested to collect their receipts and get their Membership cards stamped for 2015.

6.  We will be celebrating our 8th Anniversary and New Year 2015 on 8th January 2015 and tickets will be £1.00 for members and £15.00 for guests.  This will be a sit down lunch with whole day of music, which will start at 10.30am.  There will be no Yoga.
The small charge is to monitor attendance and ordering lunch from the caterers. Please remember that last minute bookings for attendance will strictly not be entertained, neither will be members who will turn up on the day without tickets.
All volunteers, who can help us in the morning of 8th, are kindly requested to come at 10.00 am for decorations and other work.

7.  We welcome back our President – Baburai Shah, who has returned from his holidays in India.

8.  Everyone is requested to sign in the Register at the main Table including all guests.  Guests should ensure to obtain Guest Passes from the Front Desk.

9. On11th Dec we had the Pre-Christmas Bazaar when several items and home-made food preparations were offered for sale to members and others at discount price.  This was very successful and a total of £170 was raised.  We would like to thank all the donors and volunteers who helped in organising this programme. This year there was a stall for saris and Punjabi dresses and members took advantage of the discount price offered.  However, we must bring the attention of members that the Stall owners reported that a few items were taken from their stall without payment.  This surely is not befitting our Kendra if items are taken without payment.  In future we might have to think twice as Kendra’s image and reputation is at stake.
