1). Today's Warm up Yoga was conducted by Bakul Kothari and the main Yoga by Manishaben. She conducted many Yogic poses to tone up body joints and muscles. She also did many breathing exercises. Many thanks to both from NVK.
Vice President - Vinodbhai Kapashi announced that as this was the last Yoga session for some time for Manishaben, who is going to Ahmedabad for the wedding of her daughter - Aditi which is on 27th January, on behalf of all members of NVK we give her our Best Wishes and Heartiest congratulations - ખુબ ખુબ અભિનંદન અને શુભેચ્છાઓ -અને બધી વિધિ ખૂબ જ આનંદદાયક અને ધામ ધૂમ સાથે કરવામાં આવે

He also announced that President - Vinod Parekh is not well and is taking rest at home, hence he is not here today.
2). Sad news - Our member - HANSABEN K MISTRY- age 82- passed away on 29/11/23. She was the mother of Hitesh Mistry, who used to come at our gatherings several times a few years ago to teach members about Mobile phones and if anyone had any problems, he sorted these out. He gave his valuable time and efforts entirely free.
Hansaben had joined NVK since January 2008 and had joined in most of our gatherings, activities, trips and programmes. She was a very friendly person always looking forward to join in our Thursday gatherings for fellowship, enjoyment and meeting friends. She bravely fought her illness in the last few years and stoically carried on as usual, even attending our gatherings. She will be sadly missed by all.
On behalf of all NVK members, we offer our sincere condolences to the family members of late Hansaben and pray to Lord Krishna to rest the deceased's soul in eternal peace and give courage to the family to bear the loss with fortitude.
We will now observe a minute's silence to pray for her soul.

Her funeral will be held on Sun - 10/12 at 11.00 am at the Hendon Crematorium followed by light refreshments at nearby venue.
3). DONATIONS : i) Secretary - Purnimaben Mehta announced that our member - Neetaben Chotai has brought Samosas for all members and Jain Kachoris for Jain members to be given at Lunch to celebrate her birthday. Ramaben Doshi and Jasuben Sheth were called near the stage to sing the Happy Birthday song. Everyone joined in singing and wishing her. Many thanks from NVK and wish that she will enjoy many more birthdays to come.

4). After lunch today we have a programme of Quiz and as usual at Tea Time, NVK will provide Tea/Coffee and the sponsored Biscuits.
(Today's Lunch Menu included : 'Garam Shiro', Kachori, Puri, Beans and Maize nu saakh etc.)
Quiz programme started little late because of late arrival of the lunch from caterers.
Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi asked some interesting questions on general knowledge to members. Members gave replies that they knew of. Vinodbhai then gave the correct answers with details for some questions. Members enjoyed the quiz.
5). Next Thurs - 14/12/23 we will have Zumba workout by Nishaben Hirani in the morning session and after lunch we will have Christmas Carols by St. John's Gospel Choir, arranged by Ellaben Shah.
