NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 13th FEB ‘20

1). Today’s Yoga was conducted by Valiben.   Many thanks from Kendra.

2).  DONATIONS :  £31 from Kumudlal P Mehta, who celebrated his 80th birthday on 9th Feb.  Kendra’s Heartiest Congratulations and Best Wishes and we pray that he will enjoy many more birthdays to come.

3). After lunch today, we will have special Valentine Bingo with good prizes and also celebrate Valentine Day.  For the information of new members, Kendra has always given free tickets to play Bingo games to all who are present.  As usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits.

(Today’s lunch included “Gulab Jamun” and paatra farsan etc.)

Kusumben started the afternoon programme with a song and then Jasuben Sheth took over and recited several shairies.  Members came forward to sing songs, recited shairies etc and each one was presented with a real rose and also donated rose (Krishanben K Mehta had kindly donated all real roses nicely packed. Kendra’s many thanks.
There were two games of Bingo with four prizes for each game.  Winners of ‘Jaldi Five’, one line, two lines and full house were presented with prizes and chocolate roses which were presented to the winners by their spouses.  Many members stayed behind to watch the programme & Bingo and enjoyed till the end.  

4). Next Thurs – 20/2 we will have “ Kendra has got Talent” programme and members are requested to take part and show whatever talents they have.  You can sing, recite poems, shairies, memorable incidents in your life etc.  Please give your names to Kusumben Punater.  We would love to have more new members coming forward so that members can see your talents.

5). Purnimaben Mehta announced about the Navnat Vanik Bhagini Samaj ‘Change a Life’ programme which is to be held on Thur - 5/3 at 7.00 pm with Dinner at Hayes.  She said that the programme is organised jointly with Life Global UK on the occasion of the International Women’s Day to collect funds to help women empowerment through skills, thus transforming their lives. All are invited, but should register. 

6). President – Vinod Parekh announced : *All disabled persons with wheel chairs, walking sticks etc are requested to seat near the main door, so that they do not disturb other members who are performing Yoga.  * Bingo in the afternoon – please stay and enjoy the game which is open to all.   * Lions Club Senior Citizen party at Harrow Leisure Centre on Sun - 1/3 – All members who have given their names for the Table offered by the Vanik Council of UK – he read the names – should seat on Table 34.  For the other table, he will give more information later on.  * Please use the Coat Hanger, near the main door to hang your coats and jackets so that seats are not kept occupied with these.
