NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS 15TH JUNE 2017

1). Today’s Warm up Yoga was conducted by Nootanben.  Many thanks to her.

2). DONATIONS : 

3). After lunch today, Nimaben Kakad has arranged a programme : “Mix and Match”  and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.

4). Next Thurs – Pragnaaben Mandalia has arranged a Talking Therapy workshop on sleep problems in the Seminar Room from 11.00 am to 12.30pm.  If you are interested, please give your names to Ellaben Shah.  We can take 25 members who are with Harrow or Brent GPs.  If there will be more than 25, we will arrange another session. 

5). 3rd International day of Yoga will this year be celebrated on Wed -21st June throughout the world, including in the United Nations.  There are many such celebrations in UK and The High Commission of India in association with India Tourism Office will be celebrating the same at Trafalgar Square on Tues – 20/6 from 3.00 to 8.00 pm.  A very interesting booklet on Yoga has been issued by the Government of India and this will be attached in the weekly Interesting information bulletin sent by me. (Thanks to Dhirendra Sanghrajka for sending this).

6).  On Tues – 4th July we have arranged a day picnic to Verulamium Park in St. Albans.  The subsidised charge for members is £10 and Guests £15.  Children upto 12 years - £10.  If you wish to drive there, then you must Register and pay £5 for members and children under 12.  Guests £10.
We will provide Breakfast and then members can walk around or play games.  In the afternoon we will provide lunch.

7).  NVK has arranged a 5 days/4 nights trip to North Wales.  Cost of the trip will be £225pp (Two sharing) for members and guests. The Trip includes 4 nights Accommodation with Breakfasts, lunches and Dinners on all days.  Coach will leave Kenton Library at 9.00 am on 17/7 and the return trip will be after breakfast on 21/7.  Everyone should bring a washable plastic plate and glass.  If you are interested, please give your name immediately to Ashokbhai Mehta.  We will confirm the trip only if we receive the minimum numbers required.

8). The interfaith Network is organising “The Get Together” from 16/6 to 18/6 which is the anniversary weekend of the murder of Jo Cox – former MP of Bately and Spen.  The event is organised to show how different faiths are united together.  In solidarity, we at NVK will also observe today as the Great Get Together Day in memory of Jo Cox.

9). Last week’s talk on Live Kidney Donation was by Meenaben Modi and not as I had incorrectly mentioned: Meenaben Doshi. My apology for the error.

10). Institute of Jainology has organised  a coach to Birmingham jain Ashram and Balaji Temple on Sat -24/6.  Cost £20 with lunch, snacks etc.  If you are interested, please contact Vinodbhai Kapashi.
