NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 18th July ‘19
1). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai T Shah. Many thanks to him.
2). Our President – Vinod Parekh’s home phone number has been changed to : 0208 907 1331
3). DONATIONS : * Our member Dr Ramesh Shah took part in a research project at St Pancreas Clinic in London and he received a cash reward of £266.80. He has donated the full amount to NVK. We thank him whole heartedly and our Best Wishes to him.
4). Beautiful sunny weather and Summer has started and NVK has organised our first day picnic to Virginina Waters on Tues – 13th August. The cost for members is £15 and non-members - £20. Kendra will provide Breakfast and lunch. All interested should give their names to Kishor Doshi on the Main Table.
5). After lunch today we will have a special variety Quiz programme and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
(There were five Groups who took part in the Quiz, which was in Question and Answer form. Dr Vinodbhai Kapashi asked some interesting and witty questions on General Knowledge to each of the five groups.)
6). Next Thur – 25/7 we will have a visit by The Worshipful The Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Nitin Parekh. After lunch we will have “NVK has got Talent” programme. Members requested to come prepared to show their talents.
7). Our Committee member – Kusumben Punater has received an award from Roal Free Hospital for giving 5 years Voluntary Services. Our Heartiest congratulations to her.
8). President – Vinod Parekh announced : * Our day picnic will start at around 8.30am till evening. He gave following information to those joining in our Mystery Tour :
* Hope all those joining in the Tour have collected their tickets and Coach No. *Please bring your own water or you can buy from the stores near the Hotel. *You have to arrange for your lunch for the five days. Dinner and Breakfast will be given at the Hotel.
* Pick-up and Drop-off point is at the Sainsbury’s Super Store, Kenton, car park at the rear. Address is Nash Way, Kenton HA3 0JA.
* You must come there latest by 8.40 am.
* Carry your Freedom Pass as it is very helpful for transport on the free da
* Do not forget to bring your cardigan/jacket etc for rain or cold weather as it changes fast.
* Follow the instructions of the Coach Leaders.
9). Vinodbhai Kapashi announced details of the afternoon programme and said that the Quiz will be in groups with general knowledge questions and the winners will be given prizes. He also read out the names of all who are taking part in next week’s “NVK has got Talent” programme and said it was good to see so many members want to take part and show their talents.
