NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA - ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 21st DEC 2017
It is with deep regret and sadness that we have to inform the sad news of ‘Arihantsaran’ of our member – BACHULAL DAYALJI MEHTA - Age 79 - who passed away on 2O/12. He was the husband of our member CHAMPABEN MEHTA. Bachulal had been our member since Kendra’s inception. We pray to Lord Mahavir to rest the deceased’s soul in eternal peace and to give courage to the family to bear the loss with fortitude. Our sincere condolences to Champaben and all family members.

1). Today, Jayeshbhai Shah conducted the warm-up Yoga and Manishaben conducted Yogic exercises to tone up internal organs and keep the same strong and healthy. Many thanks to both from Kendra.
2). DONATIONS : *£25 from Pramodbhai P Mehta on the occasion of his birthday. Kendra’s Heartiest congratulations and we pray that he enjoys many more birthdays to come.
*4Boxes of Chocolates from Rasilaben and Prabhudasbhai Shah on the occasion of the X-Mas programme we are celebrating today. Many thanks to them.
3). After lunch today we will have Christmas carols and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits. (Six members of a Carol group sang various carols with instrument).
4). This is our last meeting for this year and we shall again meet in New Year on 4th Jan 2018. We wish you all Happy Christmas Holidays and Happy New Year.
5). Please note that we will remain closed next Thurs - on 28th Dec.
6). Yugpurush is a record breaking show about the life and message of Shrimad Rajchandra and Gandhiji. Last year thousands of people had seen this drama in Gujarati and Hindi. This drama has now been produced in English and Mahavir Foundation has tickets for the 20th and 21st January shows in Watford Colloseum. For tickets contact Dr. Vinodbhai Kapashi.
7). There is a new indicator for Stroke or Blood Clot apart from the three S T R (Smile, Talk and Raise hands). Another sign is the tongue. If the person having the problem is told to stick out his/her tongue and if it is crooked or goes from one side to the other, it is another sign of stroke.
8). We are taking a few new members for next year and some are present here today. We welcome them on behalf of Kendra and request them to take part in Kendra’s activities.
9). Jayantbhai Doshi announced that this year our Treasurer – Punambhai Patwa had applied for Gift Aid rebate and we have received a total of £ 4111. Thanks to Punambhai Patwa.
10). Our President – Vinod Parekh wished all members a Merry Christmas, good health and happy New Year.
