NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 23rd FEB 2017
We are happy note that Manishaben and Ajaybhai have celebrated their 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary this month. Our Heartiest Congratulations to both and pray that they both enjoy many more anniversaries to come. Also please note the Manishaben is going on holidays and will not be coming for the next four Thursdays. We will try and arrange for replacement.
1). We welcome all members who have attended today. However some of our members are unable to attend due to illness, hospitalisation or illness in their family. We pray for their early recovery and that members can attend our future gatherings and enjoy the fellowship of Kendra members.
2). DONATIONS : £500 from Kokilaben and Bhikalal Solanki, who are both our members and come from South end on sea. They often attend our functions. They had come for our 10th Anniversary programme and enjoyed so much that they gave the donation stating that the programme was splendid and very well organised. Their Best Wishes to all Kendra members. Kendra’s Heartiest thanks to them.
3). After lunch we will have a programme on “Mahashivratri” and usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide the sponsored tea and biscuits. (Sailesh Vyas from Rajkot, hwo has come to kendra twice before, sang songs )
4). Next Thurs – 2nd March – we will have Bingo games.
5). We hope everyone enjoyed the grand 10th Anniversary programme. After the programme, we have been inundated with numerous messages of appreciation and enjoyment of the excellent programme, praise for the Souvenir and its contents. To all those who have sent such complimentary messages, the Executive Committee of NVK have to say that: Your satisfaction and enjoyment is our reward for all our efforts. When members enjoy and give credit to us, it also gives us a lot of pleasure and encouragement and we hope to continue to work for the elderly in future even better. One member even remarked that such programme should be arranged every six months !!
Those members who were unable to attend the programme can collect or can arrange for collection their copy of Souvenir and bag from the main table from Ashokbhai Mehta.
6). We are having our AGM this year on 6th and 13th April and will have elections for committee members. The notice for the same will be sent in accordance with our constitution.
7). Our President - Baburai Shah and Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi paid a visit to the High Commission of India and have established a contact with them. If anyone has any issue with OCI, then contact Baburai Shah.
8). You are all aware that a British National can get a free 100th birthday message from the Queen and then on 105th birthday and each year following. However you can also get a message for your 60th(Diamond) Wedding Anniversary, and then on 65th, 70th (Platinum) and each year thereafter. You can apply online 5 weeks before the birthday or anniversary date. If you need any help in application, please contact us.
