ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURSDAY 23rd JULY 2015
Jayantbhai Doshi announced the following :-

1.  Our long time member-  Shashikant Malde was involved in an accident. We understand he is home and recovering and hope to see him soon at NVK.
2.  Pragnaben had arranged a prostrate workshop where our members took part and discussed the issues and about translating the information into Gujarati and other languages. The Cancer Awareness arranged this and they donated £700.00 as a grant towards the cost of arranging this workshop.
3.  £51.00 received from an anonymous member and we thank him for the same and our best wishes for whatever the occasion may have been.
4.  On 4th August an open bus tour of London has been organised. Cost of 3 hour tour is £9.50 per person. Ella Shah is taking names for this tour.
5.  On 18th August we will have day trip to South-end-on-Sea. The coach will depart from Kenton Library at 8.00. We will leave from South end on Sea at around 5.00.
Cost of the day trip will be :  £10.00 for members and members grand children (under 12) and £15.00 for guests.
6. NVK have made a deal whereby our members, their families, friends and anyone they can talk to, can join a scheme whereby ANY SHOPPING DONE AT SAINSBURY’s by registered cardholders will mean NVK GET 4% on the gross amount of the shopping. (So if one year all our members/friends etc do £100000.00 worth of shopping under the scheme than NVK will get £4000.00) . PLEASE SUPPORT NVK BY SUPPORTING THIS SCHEME. Details of the scheme will be sent by email (PLEASE PASS IT TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN.)

USUAL ANNOUNCEMENTS :

i).Manishaben informed members having any Arthritis problems, who should not perform certain Yoga postures.  She also gave Ayurvedic treatment for those having these problems.  Thanks to her.

ii).  DONATIONS :   Rajniben Damani donated to Kendra – 200 Plastic Jars and 100 Foil Boxes for food sale after lunch. Many thanks to her.

iii).  After lunch today we will play Bingo games with good prizes and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will serve Tea and Biscuits. We have a humble request to members that whilst the biscuit tray is being passed around, please take reasonably so that all the members can have a bite. Please be considerate for others.
(Some prizes for the Bingo were donated by anonymous donors.  2 wrist watches were donated by the grandson of Bachubhai Dayalji Mehta.  Thanks to all of them from Kendra.

iv). Next Thursday – 30th July we will have a Representative from the National Awards Committee, who will come to present us the certificate signed by the Queen for the QAVS award together with a domed glass crystal.  After lunch we will have songs, garbas etc to celebrate the occasion.

v). We have organised a mid-Summer Musical Programme on Thurs -13th Aug.  This will be a full day musical programme with sitting lunch and there will be no Yoga on that day.  The programme will start at 11.00 am and as usual members will have to pay £1 to register in order to monitor the number of people attending and for catering purposes. Guests are welcome – charge £15.  Please collect your tickets from Main Desk.  On this day we will have a grand celebration for our achievement of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services.  A special musical band has been invited and they have promised to give memorable music befitting our celebrations for the day.

vi).  For the information of members ‘Bend It Like Beckham - Musical’ show at the Phoenix Theatre has been seen by many and has been acclaimed as super.  Many critics, too, have given very good comments for the show.   All interested should follow the following link to buy their own tickets for £15 whenever they want to see the show:

vii).  Everyone, including guests, is requested to sign in the Register at the Entrance Table. Guests are requested to obtain their Pass.
