NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA - ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 23rd NOV 2017
1). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai T Shah and Manishaben conducted ‘pranayams’ and many Yoga poses toning up and keeping healthy the internal organs. Many thanks to both from Kendra.
2). After lunch today, we will have a most amazing adventure story from our member – Dhirubhai Galani who had gone over 6200 miles safari in Africa, some on most dangerous treks, on his motorbike. This will really be an exciting story. As usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
(Dhirubhai gave a very exciting and enjoyable account of his whole trek with his other 6 partners. He had to take minimum clothing etc. and how every night he had to wash his trouser !! – and to top it all how, when he was in Namibia in a national park lodge amidst all wild animals like cheetahs, and was in his secluded cabin away from the main building and had to walk in total darkness to the main building in search of his passport, left in clothes in the main building. Only later did he find out that this was forbidden and had to return with an escort to his cabin !!. Also, though he had an accident and was in pain, he had to continue driving his motorbike.)
3). Next Thurs – 30th Nov we will have members who can read some good, interesting articles or recite their memorable experiences.
4). So far over 320 members have renewed their membership and we request members to speak to other members they know who do not come often, to renew their membership. Remember the deadline is 15th Dec.
5). We had announced before that we will be doing “Sewa/Welfare” at Care homes and we are pleased to inform that our volunteers will be visiting Woodcock Court from 2.00 to 4.00 pm next Thursday and will leave after lunch at 1.30 pm Our volunteers for Woodcock Court are :- Ellaben Shah, Jyotiben Gandhi, Jyotiben Shah, Pratimaben Mandalia, Ranjanben Gandhi, Lilaben Mehta, Kundanben Parekh, Vinodbhai Parekh, Yashwantbhai Mandalia and Pragnaben mandalia. 6). Jasuben Sheth announced the future programmes : “Jivan sandhya mate ekalvayu dur karva sathi ni jarur che ke nahi?” and “Kaun Banega NVK Master” and requested members who wanted to take part should give their names to her.
7). President – Vinod Parekh announced that though we have announced several times that members should keep their used plates after lunch properly stacked, last Thurs someone had kept the plate on the table not in the stack and this had spoiled the jacket of a member. He requested that members should ensure that this is not repeated.
