1.Today Manishaben gave many health tips.  Many thanks to her from Kendra.

2.  After lunch today we will have a Special Quiz programme presented by Vinodbhai Kapashi to find our  – ‘NVK’s ‘Sabse Saana Kaun’ and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide the sponsored tea and biscuits.

3.  On next Thursday – 2nd July, we will have a talk by Amita Shah on social service benefits and the new changes the laws pertaining to the benefits.
  
4.  Our next film show – film PIKU, starring Amitabh Bachchan - will be on Tues – 7th July at Cineworld, Staples Corner at 10.30 am. As the prices for the tickets have now gone up, our subsidised price for members will be £2 pp and for non-members £3 pp.  The price with lunch will be £5 for members and £8 for non-members.  Please  book your tickets on the Main Table –with Punambhai Patwa.

5.  Last Sunday-21st was the World Yoga Day and thousands of people all over the world participated in some Yog Sibirs.  Infact, the World Yoga Day has been hailed as the World Modi Day.  The Indian PM stole the show in every TV Channel and Newspapers throughout the world when he set on his Yoga mat in Lotus position to break the world record for the largest Yoga gathering in history at one place – 35895.  Another record was also confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records, when 84 countries performed Yoga at a time in one place.  This is indeed marvellous.  Our Manishaben had conducted Yoga at the Moor Park for around 60 people.

6.  If you do not want to receive emails from me, please inform me.  Also if you do not get messages from me and want to inform me, please write down your full name and your email address and give to me.  Similarly for any changes in your address, write down your full name and the new email to give me. Please appreciate the fact that I have to deal with 324 members’ emails and just talking to me is not desirable.  Also ensure that the email you give is proper and existing, as I have received some email addresses from members that do not exist.

7.  Our members – Kokilaben and Vasantrai Sanghrajka’s grandson – Amar, who is only 8 years old, has signed a contract to play with Arsenal Football Club’s Youth Academy.  This surely is an achievement at such a young age.  We wish him the best of luck in future and pray that he scores goals as the first Gujarati for the Team.

8.  We request members to park their cars in the marked parking bays properly not blocking any other cars and not to park on the yellow lines.  We also would inform members not to bring their valuables –like jewellery etc. in the Hall.  Also we request members not to bring any magazines etc. and drop on the Main Table.

9.  We have Yoga blocks for sale at £5.  If you want to buy the same, please approach Jayantbhai Doshi.

10.  We request the Kitchen Volunteers to ensure silence is maintained, even when they are inside the kitchen and the door is closed.

11.  Navnat Vadil Mandal is presenting a play – ‘Gajjubhai Retire Thai Che’ on Friday – 17th July with Dinner at Hayes. Tkt prices are : £10/12/15.  Contact Rameshbhai Shah.

12.  Everyone, including guests, is requested to sign in the Register at the Entrance Table. Guests are requested to obtain their Pass from Vinod Parekh.

13.  Pragnaben Mandalia announced that on the 9th July, we will have a Specialist Consultant from the Northwick Park Hospital who will give a talk on Osteoporosis.  If you have any particular question, please give this in advance.  There will be discussion session also.

14.  Jasuben Sheth announced the names of those taking part in the Quiz after lunch.  She also stated that they will play in teams and also requested for the names of 12 volunteers.
