NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 27TH APRIL 2017

1). Today’s warm-up Yoga was conducted by Jasuben Sheth with laughing Yoga and helped by Dineshbhai Shah.  Also Ushaben Mehta gave health tips.  Manishaben conducted the main Yoga stressing benefit to the internal organs and joints.  Many thanks to all of them.
2).  It is with deep regret and sadness that we inform ‘Arihantsaran ’ of our member – SHARDABEN JAYANTILAL SHAH – age 75, on 20/4.  She attended all Kendra’s activities regularly and also sponsored several times water whenever we had day outings. Kendra’s heartiest condolences to her family members and we pray that her soul rests in eternal peace and that the Almighty gives courage to bear the loss with fortitude.  Her family have thanked Kendra for the fantastic support she had received.  We will now observe a minute’s silence to pray for her.
3).  DONATIONS :  *£71 from Meenaben and Dr. Rameshbhai Narshi Shah as “Khushi Bhet”.  Heartiest congratulations fron Kendra to both.
         * £20 from Hansaben Mistry to celebrate the birthday of her son – Hitesh on 1/5.  Kendra’s Heartiest congratulations to the family.
4). After lunch today we will have jokes by Dinker Mehta and as usual Kendra will provide tea and biscuits at Tea Time.

5). Next Thurs – 4th May we will have a Kenya investment in real estate forum with slide show by co-ordinator – Hetal Nathwani of Cytonn Investment.  They have also sponsored the lunch on that day and had given a two page advert in our 10th Anniversary Souvenir.

6).  Century Bowling Club is holding ‘Open Day’ on Sat -6th May from 2.00 to 5.00 pm and anyone, your friends and family who may be interested in bowling are welcome along and ‘Have a go’.  All bowling equipment will be provided and three coaches plus a few others with a wealth of knowledge will be available to help on that day.  This will be a great opportunity to practice on outdoor green.

7).  Yet again Age UK have been kind enough to inform us of the Memories Cricket match at Lord’s on Sun – 21st May between Middlesex and Surrey.  This is a chance for people aged 60+ to talk about old and create some new memories all while watching cricket.  It is an opportunity to meet like minded new people over a cup of tea at the home of cricket.  You can see the MCC Museum - £1 entry and also from 1.30 to 2.30 pm play table cricket in the Nursery Pavilion and enjoy refreshments.  If you are interested, write your names on the list at the main table.  Deadline 4th May.

8).  Our member Dhirubhai Galani is taking part in raising funds for St. Luke Hospice by remaining in the police cell on Fri – 28/4 and will be released when £1000 fund raising target is reached.  Please donate on line ‘Just Giving’.

9).  Please be alert as Indian families are being targeted as many robberies and criminal activities are taking place around Kenton area. Cars are broken and contents stolen.  Also there are reports of acid attacks at queues near traffic lights.  Do not open you windows for whatever reasons
