1). It is with deep regret and sadness that we inform members of the Arihantsaran of our member – Taraben Bhogilal Mehta – Age 82 on 24/3.  Our deepest condolences to late Taraben’s family and we pray that her soul rests in eternal peace.  We will observe a minute’s silence to pray for her soul.

2).  It gives us great pleasure, and we are indeed proud to announce that two of our members have been awarded by OneJAIN and Jain All Party Parliamentary Group awards yesterday in the House of Commons, where Mahavir Janma Kalyanak was being celebrated and where many dignitaries, MPs, Councillors, Lords, community Presidents etc were present.

Our founder member and Hon. Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi was awarded “OneJAIN EXCELLANCE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD 2018” By Lord Bourne.  This is the first year the Institution OneJAIN has given this award.

Our member – Manharlal Mehta was also awarded " OneJAIN LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD 2018", which is being given every year.

Our Heartiest Congratulations and best Wishes to both the members and we pray that they will continue serving the community.

3).  Today, Manishaben conducted Yogic poses to help keep thighs, knees and leg joints strong and healthy.  Many thanks to her from Kendra.

4).  After lunch today, we will have our member’s son – Hitesh Mistry, who will give a talk on the use of smart phones and show certain tricks related to phones.

5).  Next Thurs – 5/4, we will have our grand Commonwealth Day Musical programme with sit down special lunch.

6).  On 12/4 we will have our AGM at 1.45 pm.  Please attend as this will be an opportunity for you to ask questions etc.  There will be special lunch.

7).  There is a wonderful classical music programme – “Fire by Samyo” at Beck Theatre, Hayes on Sun – 8/4 at 6.30pm.  Tickets are £10 if we go as a group.  Members and guests can come.  If you are interested, you have to pay in advance and no cancellation allowed.  Please pay to Punambhai Patwa.

8).  Navnat UK is celebrating Mahavir Janma Kalyanak with Sanatra Puja at Hayes on Sat – 31st March from 11.00 am.  For further details contact Dhirubhai Galani.

9).  President Vinod Parekh announced following details of the Commonwealth Day musical programme : * Entry will be by tickets only, so please bring this with you.  Programme starts at 11.00 am.      * It will be free seating for all and you can only reserve two seats (one for you and other for your partner), hence do not put shawls or any other thing on chairs.  If we find this, it will be removed and our volunteers and Committee members will be going around to check this.  Please co operate in this arrangements.     *Dress Code :  Ladies in colourful Saris and Gents with smart dress.  * If you are coming with a guest, please come together so you can sit together. * Volunteers – this is a huge task and we request all volunteers to come early – preferably at 10.00 am to make table arrangements and decorations, to serve food etc.   * Children will not be allowed.  * Executive Committee members are requested to help in seating arrangements.
