NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA - ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 2nd  NOV 2017

1). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Jayantbhai Doshi and he also continued after Manishaben left early today. Manishaben conducted Yogic exercises for strengthening lower back and hip joints.   Many thanks to both of them from Kendra.

2). DONATIONS :  “Chaas” for the month of November is sponsored by late Shardaben Jayantilal Shah.  Many thanks to her family for remembering Kendra.

3). After lunch today, we will play Bingo games and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
Today’s Bingo games were played on an Electric Bingo which was brought courtesy of Ellaben Shah.  Many thanks to her.  Also Rasilaben and Prabhudasbhai Shah donated 5 Bingo Books to Kendra.  Many thanks to them.

4).  Next Thurs – 9th Nov we will have  Whist Drive.

5).  Newsletter for the month of Novembers was circulated by email to members and a few hard copies are available for those who do not have access to emails. 6). Membership Renewal for 2018 is progressing fast and already over 160 members have renewed.  Those who have as yet to renew, please do so at the Main Desk with your payment.  The deadline is 15th Dec.  Also those who have renewed should collect their Membership cards duly stamped for 2018.

7). Navnat Bhagini Samaj have organised a cultural programme with dances and a play to celebrate their 40th Ruby Anniversary at Hayes on Sat-18th Nov from 6.30 pm with dinner. Tkts £15. They will also be honouring their Past Presidents. 

8). One of our lady member needs a full time carer for taking care, cooking etc.  The carer will be given facility for staying in the home.  If anybody has any names, please contact us urgently.

9).  An interesting exhibition : “Gujarati Yatra” is arranged at the Museum of Croydon, Croydon Clocktower from 14/11/17 to 14/4/18- Tues to Sat from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm.  This journey (or pilgrimage) refers to the journey made by people from their original homeland in Gujarat to the South and East Africa and finally on to Britain and other Western countries. The Exhibition tells the stories of the individuals and communities who made this journey through their objects and oral histories.  Entrance to the Exhibition is free.  There will also be saree exhibition, tales from Kutch, Indian music etc etc.

10). Jasuben Sheth announced about the Debate :  “Jivan sandhya mate ekalvayu dur karva sathi ni jarur che ke nahi?”, where the participants will be informed and coached to speak on the subject.  This will soon be held and all interested to speak should give their names to her or Purnimaben Mehta.
