NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS 3rd AUGUST 2017
1). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Jayeshbhai Shah and Manishaben conducted Yoga poses for knee problems and also for toning all facial muscles. Many thanks to both of them.
2). DONATIONS : * “Chaas” for the month of August is sponsored by Vidyaben Manharlal Mehta. Many thanks to her from Kendra.
* Today’s special lunch of Shrikhand/puri/kachori etc is sponsored by Damyantiben Bhogilal Mehta, who will be celebrating her 80th birthday this month. Our Heartiest Congratulations and Best Wishes and we pray that she enjoys many more birthdays to come.
* An anonymous person has sponsored six packets of biscuits at Tea Time. Many thanks from Kendra.
3). After lunch today, we will have a programme of ‘Antakshri’, and as usual, at Tea time, Kendra will provide tea and the sponsored biscuits.
4). Remember next week, we are meeting on Wed – 9th Aug, instead of Thursday. Yoga will be as usual but there will be no Walking Group walk. Our programme after lunch will be for ‘Janmashtami’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’.
5). Newsletter for August has been emailed to members and also uploaded on our website. A few hard copies are available for those who have no access to emails.
6). All members who have shown interest in Live Kidney Donation are invited to a talk by a specialist Kidney nurse next Wed – 9th Aug from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm at the Seminar Room. Further information will be given on medical checks and other procedures required before donation and operation. Please take your seats before 11.00 am.
7). Jasuben Sheth announced that next Wednesday we are having a programme on ‘Janmasthmi’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’ so she requested members who want to take part should give her their names. Also members requested to come in colourful dresses. Any ‘prasaad’ in the form of ‘sakaar’ or dry fruits was welcome. Members who can bring flowers from their gardens were requested to do so.
8). The President, Vinod Parekh announced that as informed earlier, we are having another great whole-day Diwali programme at VIP Lounge with Music on Tues – 24th Oct. Tickets will be ready soon. Yet again we intend to have some good Raffle Prizes. Anyone who intends to donate some good prizes between £40/50 should give their names to Praful Shah. He also informed those who are joining in the Wales trip should get full details of the itinerary and times on their emails.
