NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 5th DEC ‘19
1). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai T Shah. Kendra’s many thanks.

* 2 tins of Chocolates from Neetaben S Chotai, who will be celebrating her birthday on 8/12. Kendra’s Heartiest Congratulations and Best Wishes.
3). After lunch today, we will have Wonders of India – some architectural marvels. and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits.
( Vice President – Vinodbhai Kapashi gave a very informative talk of the wonders in India with the help of slides. Some very interesting thousands of years old architectural wonders in various places in India were described and shown on slides. It was a very interesting talk, highly enjoyed by all.)
4). Next Thurs – 12/12, we will have a comedy play – “School Master and students”
5). Newsletter for December has been circulated to members and also uploaded on our Website. Few hard copies are available later on for those members who have no access to emails.
6). 18 members have gone on a week’s trip to Potters Resort on 2/12. We wish them a happy and enjoyable week.
7). Already nearly 400 members have renewed their membership. Remember that the deadline is next Thurs – 12th Dec. So if you have not renewed, please do so.
8). I had sent an email to members regarding the evolution of Yahoomail. From 14th Dec all existing accounts and all contents that has been saved will be deleted and you can only rejoin after yahoo mail admin invite. We may have new terms and conditions to have an account. Hence please note I will soon be changing all Kendra groups to my Gmail account. Just in case you do not receive emails from me from next week, please inform me by writing your name and email address, so I can do the necessary.
9). President – Vinod Parekh announced : Our Treasurer – Punambhai Patwa has managed to get Gift Aid of £2150.88 this year after his hard work in submitting the details. Many thanks from Kendra.
* About the last Thursday’s musical programme, when over 350 members collected tickets and only 300 turned up. Thus we had to order unnecessarily food that was extra and cost Kendra quite a sum. He requested that members must co-operate in future and only book if they are sure that they will attend.
* All members using Dial a Ride are requested to sit on the chairs near the Hall entrance after lunch, so that when their carers arrive to collect them, they do not disturb our programmes and go quietly out. Our programmes are being disturbed lately every time their transport arrives to pick them up.
Our member – Rajnikant Sheth informed members about the necessity of having Smoke Alarms in your homes. He said that if you ring the Fire Brigade in your area, they will come and fit alarms free of charge. He had the contacts of :
