2. DONATION: Two Hand Blenders – which we use for ‘chaas’ and 6 party Table Clothes from Dr Anil Gandhi and Jyotiben Gandhi. Many thanks to them from Kendra.
3. After lunch today we have a comedy programme by Nimuben, which will be quite hilarious and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea.
4. On 13th Feb we will celebrate and have a programme on Valentine Day. Jasuben Sheth announced that she will arrange couple game (Question and Answers) and has requested for names. There will be a prize of a Dinner for two.
5. On 14th February – Friday at 4.00 pm, we have arranged a visit to the Houses of Parliament. 49 names have been received. The tour is an hour and half long. Vinod Parekh announced the group to meet at Wembley Park, near the last carriage at 2.15pm. Those coming direct should reach by 3.30 pm at the House of Commons – Main Entrance.
6. On 20th Feb we have a talk by Jay Lakhani on Spirituality.
7. On 4th May we have arranged a trip to Manor House for 5 nights 6 days. There are all types of sporting activities, arts and crafts and other facilities (all included in price). We only have 5 rooms left and we will cancel this by the end of February if no more names are received. If you are interested, please give your names.
8. In June we have planned an Iceland Cruise on Queen Victoria. One lady is looking for a partner to share a cabin and another gent is looking for a gent to share a cabin on the cruise. If anyone is interested, please contact Jayantbhai Doshi. 18 members are already booked and more names will only be taken if cabins are available.
9. Newsletter for the month of February has been forwarded by email to members and a few hard copies are available only for those who do not have access to emails. Please also note that henceforth our monthly Newsletter and all our regular announcements etc. will now also be put on our website http://www.nvk.org.uk.
10. Our Annual General Meeting will be held on 27th March. This will only be for submission of reports and there is no election (as per our Constitution).
11. Jasuben Sheth announced that we will celebrate ‘Mothers Day’ on 20th March and requested for members to give their names. (members can speak on mothers, grandmothers, etc)
12. Vinod Parekh announced that lunch sponsorship can be done in groups of members. He also mentioned that as per a suggestion received from a member, please take the last(back) table with your food plate.
Also 9 members of Kendra attended a gathering of senior citizens last Sunday at the Harrow Leisure Centre organised by the Lions Club and everyone had a splendid time and enjoyed the activities. Our special thanks to Lion Ashwin Sheth (our member –Gauri Sheth’s husband).
