NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 6th FEB ‘20
1). Today’s Yoga was conducted by Panaben Panchal in the absence of Manishaben. She conducted Yogic poses compared to how a flower open itself in the morning and how it closes in the evening. Neck, shoulders and spine yogic poses, ‘pranayams’ and ‘Mudrikas’ in the correct way. Members enjoyed this. Many thanks from Kendra.
2). DONATIONS : * “Chaas” for the month of February is sponsored by Gauriben Sheth. Many thanks from Kendra. * £101 from Kishor Mehta to celebrate his wife – Hansaben’s 80th birthday, which was on 25th Jan. And *£175 from Ramanlal Mistry who celebrated his 85th birthday on 4th Feb. Kendra’s Heartiest Congratulations to both, and we pray that they enjoy many more birthdays to come
3). After lunch today, we will have Whist Drive and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide Tea and Biscuits.
Today’s lunch included “Gajjar Halwa”, samosa, ‘Pau Bhaji’ etc.
(There were 10 Tables for Whist Drive and the winners were Vina Kishor Doshi – Pink and Manjuben Shah – White. Congratulations to both from Kendra).
4). Next Thurs – 13/2 we will have “Valentine Bingo” with good prizes and also celebrations for Valentine Day.
5). Newsletter for February was emailed to members and also uploaded on our Website. Hard copies will be available to members who have no access to emails.
6). President – Vinod Parekh announced : *Last Thursday we had Guests from the BAPS Temple, Neasden, who also run Senior Citizens organisation. They were very impressed with our activities and were amazed to see so many members doing Yoga on floor and on chairs. Also how Manishaben conducted Yoga and how everyone joined in a peaceful manner. They had also praised our Discipline and mannerly way in forming queues for Lunch. They have visited 3 different organisations and have found ours the best of the lot. For that complement, I thank all our members for their support and following our instructions which we announce now and then. Thank you again to all of you. Keep up.
* About the Lions Clubs – Senior Citizens programme at Harrow Leisure Centre on 1st March, we need one name for a Table and 6 on the other Table. Please give yur names today to the Main Table – Baburai Shah.
* Next week we are having a Special Valentine Bingo with good prizes. And also celebrate Valentine Day with romantic songs etc. If you are interested, please give your names to Kusumben Punater.
