NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS 6th JULY 2017
1). Today’s Warm up Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai Tarachand Shah and Manishaben conducted Yoga poses to tone lower back joints, leg joints and other internal organs. Many thanks to both from Kendra.

3). After lunch today, as it is Cancer awareness week, MacMillan Cancer are coming to give us a talk on that subject and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits. Two Representatives from McMillan Cancer Support gave a very interesting interactive talk with the help of slide and projection. Everyone enjoyed the talk. On behalf of Kendra, Jayantbhai Doshi thanked Mcmillan and presented them with a token cheque of £100 for their charitable work.
Also on 27th July we have another workshop in the morning from 11.00 am to 12.30pm on the topic : OCD – Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. If you are interested, please give your name to Ellaben Shah. More information from Pragnaben.
4). Next Thurs - 13th July we will have the Debate on “Buddhapa ni Maja ke Buddhapa ni sajaa”.
5). On Tuesday 60 people had joined in a picnic to Verulamium Park in St. Albans. The weather was fantastic and everyone had a great time and enjoyed seeing all the Roman relics and the beautiful Cathedral. It was nice to see that Five lady members had joined despite they were celebrating “Aagiyaras” by bringing their own special food from home. Also a 12 year boy –Shivam Udani who had come from Texas, USA, had joined with his grandma and had a lovely time playing with football and making members run and play games. He did wonderful acting in aping some of the things said by the President of USA - Donald Trump.
6). Newsletter for July has been emailed to members and also uploaded on our website. A few hard copies will be available for those members who do not have facility of emails.
7). Wales Trips : The first trip from 14/8 to 18/8 is already full and a few spaces are available for the second trip from 4/9 to 8/9. If you are interested give your names to Punambhai Patwa.
8). Ladies Wing of Mahavir Foundation has organised a Jain Mela on Sun -16th July at the Kingsbury High School from 12 noon to 5pm. Entrance £1. Further details from Sudhaben Kapashi.
9). Jasuben Sheth announced the names of all who are taking part in next week’s debate and requested them to come prepared. The time limit will be 3 minutes.
10). Jayantbhai Doshi read the letter received from Kantaben and Prabhakant Patel who had come last week to have “Chai with Jasu”. They were highly impressed with the work done by NVK and were full of praise for everything performed without any discrimination. They thanked all members for the good hospitality accorded to them.
11). Our President - Vinod Parekh announced with great pleasure the receipt of a donation of £2150 from Anilbhai Bhagi of Skylink Travel & Tours. Vinodbhai said that Anilbhai had arranged many tours – local and overseas for Kendra for so many years and as a goodwill gesture, he had made the donation. On behalf of all of us, he will send our Best Wishes and give him good luck in his business.
