NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 8th August ‘19
1). We welcome those members and guests who have attended today. However some members have been unable to attend as they were not well or hospitalised. We wish them speedy recovery and look forward to their attending Kendra’s future programmes.
2). Today’s Warm-up Yoga was conducted by Ushaben Mehta helped by Shantaben Pindoria. Many thanks to both from Kendra.
3). DONATIONS : * “Chaas” for the month of August is sponsored by : Niruben S Shah in loving memory of her dear husband – late Shantilal & Ranjanben Kundalia. Kendra’s many thanks to both.
* “Kesar” Ice Cream at Tea Time is sponsored by Saroj and Mahesh Savadia, who are celebrating two occasions : Saroj’s birthday which was on 2/8 and their 50th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow. Kendra’s Heartiest congratulations and Best Wishes to both and we also pray that they will enjoy many birthdays and anniversaries to come.
4). After lunch today, we will have Whist Drive and at Tea Time, Kendra will provide the sponsored Ice Cream.
5). Next Thurs – 15/8 we will have a programme on India’s Independence Day and “Raksha Bandhan”.
6). Last Thurs-1/8, 98 members attended for Yoga followed by lunch. There was no programme after lunch as most members had gone on the tour of Manchester and Peak District.
7). A total of 198 members and guests had joined in the tour and had a wonderful time. For the first time in NVK’s history so many people had joined in the tour in 4 coaches and stayed at the same hotel with a very large Hall for entertainment. Thus everyone gathered together for the night entertainment like Bingo, Quiz, Garba, songs etc. Even the excursions were very enjoyable, specially the Peak District, where we saw beautiful scenery and many members enjoyed the famous traditional tarts and puddings at the oldest shop in Bakewell.
8). Newsletter for the month of August was emailed to members and also uploaded on our website. A few hard copies are available later for those who have no access to emails.
9). Our first day picnic has been arranged to Virginina Waters on Tues – 13th August and 70 members will join in the trip in one large coach.
10). We have done many trips to Potters Resort and this year we intend to go from Mon -2nd to Fri – 6th Dec 2019. Though this will be during Winter, most of the facilities are indoors. Cost is £330 pp sharing room. If you are interested, please give your name to our Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi.

13). Sattavis Patidar Centre has organised a musical programme – The Golden Voice of Mukesh by Mukhtar Shah on Fri – 20/9. Tkts are £25 and £20 with meal. If you are interested, get your tickets from their Office.
14). President – Vinod Parekh announced that everyone had a fantastic time on the Manchester and Peak District Tour. He clarified that some members are spreading rumours that half of those who had gone to the Tour were non- members, this was not correct as only 53 of the 198 people were non- members, and that too, we had to take to fill up the coaches after all members were taken.
He gave the following details of the Virginia Waters picnic : * Pick-up and Drop-off will be at Kenton Library. All joining in the trip should be there by 8.15 am so that the Coach can leave at 8.30am. * Bring your own water. *Breakfast and lunch will be provided. * We expect to return at around 6.00 pm. *Park your cars on the side streets.
15), Vinodbhai Kapashi announced that next Thurs- 15/8 we will have a wonderful programme on India’s Independence Day and “Raksha Bandhan” and requested members to bring Indian flags. Also come prepared to give any item – dance/song etc for the programme. Also come prepared for the “Janmasthmi” programme on Thur – 22/8 and give your names.
