NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA- ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THURS – 9th MARCH 2017

1). Today’s warm up Yoga was conducted by Dineshbhai Shah and we had Bhavnaben to conduct the main Yoga.  She made every Yogic pose very lively by making all laugh.  Many thanks from Kendra to both.
2).  After lunch today we will have “Chai with Jasu” and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.  Jasuben Sheth had called Dr. Harshadbhai Sanghrajka and Dhirubhai Galani for interview on the stage.  Both gave a lively recollection of their childhood and also gave good answers to the questions.
3).  Next Thurs – 16th March we will celebrate both the “Mothers Day” as well as “Womens Day”
4).  Our President – Baburai Shah was invited to celebrate “Mahavir Jayanti” at the House of Commons on Tues -7th March, by The Jain All Party Parliamentary Group and the Institute of Jainology where, Kendra is indeed proud to announce that  the first ONE JAIN lifetime achievement award was bestowed to our member,  who is also in the Executive Committee as well as President of Mahavir Foundation – Vinodbhai Kapashi.  Kendra’s Heartiest Congratulations to him and the family.  Well done and keep up the good job.
5). Our members – Indiraben and Dhirubhai Galani’s daughter – Una has been awarded Reuters Journalist of the Year 2016 award in New York. She was selected from 3600 candidates.  Kendra’s Heartiest Congratulations to the family.
6). Our Secretary – Jayantbhai Doshi will now talk about lunch and food.  Jayantbhai announced that he wanted to clear up a misunderstanding about the food left over after lunch.  He stated that the volunteers have now started to take the food in the kitchen to pack in packets/utensils for sale, as previously there used to be rush of members on the serving tables to buy food packets and no one was following the instructions to make a queue.  He said that those who are still eating and want extra food from the kitchen will request the kitchen volunteers who will give any item if it is available. If need arise any item will be opened from the pack/utensil to be given to members.
7).  Jasuben Sheth informed members who wanted to take part in the next week’s programme to give her their names.  They can speak or sing a song, recite a poem pertaining to mothers or women.  Also she informed that Vinodbhai Kapashi has written a play and those who are willing to take part and devote some time in practises should give their names.
