NAVJIVAN VADIL KENDRA – ANNOUNCEMENTS ON WED –13/6
1). We regret that we had to change our weekly gathering from Thursday to Wednesday, but this was unavoidable due to major electrical works at the Centre.

2).  It is with deep regret and sadness that we inform members the passing away of Manishaben’s mother in law in India yesterday.  Our deepest condolences to the family and we pray that her soul rests in eternal peace.  Om Shanti     Shanti   Shanti. 
Manishaben has flown to India and will not be attending next Thursday.

3). Today’s Yoga was conducted by Ushaben Mehta and Dineshbhai Shah.   Many thanks to both from Kendra.

4).  DONATIONS : £21 from Daxaben A. Doshi on 2nd “Tithi” of her husband – Arunkant Doshi.  Many thanks from Kendra.

5). After lunch today we will have a programme on Fathers Day and as usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
Vinodbhai Kapashi compered the programme and gave a brief introduction of why “Fathers Day” is celebrated – as is known, always much priority and celebrations are done for “Mothers Day” and the sacrifices of fathers are put in the background.
Some members then spoke on the subject giving their personal experiences.

6). Next Thurs – 21/6,  will be in the ‘Parliamentary Week’ and we will have  speakers from MPs/Councillors.

7).  As response to our proposed trip to Potters Resort has been poor we will therefore not go there this year.

8).  On 21/6, Pragnaben Mandalia has arranged a seminar by Macmillan from 10.30 to 12.30 pm.  Those members who have given their names are requested to come by 10.15 am on the upper Seminar Room.

9).   For the information of members, from 1st July Age UK Harrow will become part of charity called Age UK, Hillingdon, Harrow and Brent.  Avaniben Modasia, the Chief Executive Officer for the last 12 years will be leaving the charity.  She played a major role in developing AgeUK Harrow to be a key player locally in the field of care for older people and also helped facilitate the merger.  There will be a function on 26/6 to bid her farewell and wish her well in her future career.  We will miss her as she was the one who helped us in getting the Lords Cricket Ground tickets every year.  Our Best Wishes to her future career.

10).  From tomorrow the FIFA Football World Cup starts in Russia and live opening ceremony and then matches will be shown on TV.

11).  Vinodbhai Kapashi gave details of the programme after lunch and gave  names of members taking part and also requested more names.
