2. We welcome our guest – Shailesh Sagar from India today. After lunch he is going to give a comedy programme. As usual at Tea Time, Kendra will provide tea and biscuits.
Shaileshbhai gave humorous jokes specially in Kathiawari style intermingled with ‘duhas’
Shairies etc. Many members had stayed till the end to listen to him.
3. Next Tuesday –on 17th June, we have organised Kendra’s first Day Trip to BEACONSCOT, a model village with beautiful gardens, model railway and picnic grounds. Price per person is £15 for members and guests and this includes the Entrance fee of £6.00. Coach will depart from the Harrow Leisure Centre at 8.00 a.m. Lunch will be provided by Kendra. We intend to leave Beaconscot by around 5.00 pm. If you want to join then give your names to Vinod Parekh with payment. We have already received several names for two coaches and only a few places are now left.
4. Next Thursday – 19th June the lunch has been sponsored by Skylink Travels who is going to be present to brief on the tour with video programme.
5. On 22nd June, 24 members will go on a cruise of Iceland on Queen Victoria. We wish them a Happy Journey.
6. We have organised a musical programme on 17th July and members will have to book their names on payment of £1. Guests will be allowed for £10.
7. All who went to see the tallest building – Shard had a panoramic view of the city and had a wonderful time.
8. We are arranging a trip to Turkey in September and will give full details soon.
9. Do not forget to watch the Opening Ceremony of the World Cup Football in Brazil today at 7.15pm on ITV. There is going to be a pageant featuring 600 dancers and an LED football made up of 90,000 light clusters and latest news is that Lopez is going to attend with the melodious “Oh La La – we are one…”
